  1. I've had better weeks when I've forgotten to do it.

Nice of the Daily Mail to take the attention off of Jezza for a few hours.

Farron best be careful what he wishes for. If any big Labour names go to the Lib Dems they'll soon be after his job.

  6. Fox's on Kirkdale doesn't allow kids in. I was politely asked to leave a couple of years ago when I met a mate whilst I had my daughter with me.

Goodo.
  8. Big fat zero points for me today.

He should defo wear a red poppy. Apparently he's previously worn both at ceremonies, and I think that should be perfectly acceptable, but sure it won't be.

The National anthem thing is just pathetic IMO.

Did anyone watch QT last night, and what did think? Sure some will disagree (and would whatever had happened frankly), but I thought John McDonnell did pretty well. It was very difficult for him, having things he'd said 12 years ago in a very specific context thrown at him, and I thought he handled himself very well. Interesting comments from Salmond (who weirdly I found myself generally agreeing with last night on everything he said - this is not a common or comfortable position) saying Corbyn's biggest problem is not the tories or the press, but the people behind him.

Question Time looks quite tasty tonight.

  14. I think she's right in.principle, and that on Newsnight she (not surprisingly) spoke cery well and had all the correct answers. And yet I still think she's more of a publicity hound than anything else.

Yep, that seems to be the general consensus, he did well in terms of dealing with the occasion, but never really scored points, because asking these questions that had been sent in just allowed DC to sell his ideas, rather than actually being challenged.
  16. Woodhouse is very much aimed at families.

I'm not United fan, but was sorry to go to BBC Sport and see the story about Shaw's injury.

Some won't, because they really do believe what they're fed by the sun / mail.
  19. I do try to look out for people more in need of my seat. But having crappy eyesight, "baby on board" badges are pretty useless as I don't see them, and don't want to squint to read something as it will look like I am peering at someone's chest. Like I say, feckin mine field!
  20. I've witnessed women acting insulted when offered a seat. It's a bloody mine field out there!
  21. I've always always thought Sydenham had nicer houses than ED. And as already mentioned, Brockley definitely does. These opinions were formed whilst living in ED. Don't mean to offend anyone, but I honestly think South Norwood is pretty grim.
  22. They both sound like horrific people, but this is not news worthy.

Very big and grown up of you, your mother must be proud.
  25. Lee is a bit of a funny one. It's kind of an in-between area bridging Blackheath (the posh bit) and Lewisham, so pretty mixed.
