  1. I've seen this mentioned a couple of times now and it's bunkum I bought 2 litres (effectively 4 pints) for a quid in Payless opposite the Bishop yesterday
  2. haven't got one of those TV's, but I do have several consoldes which offer exactly the same functionality the technology is solid. Streaming services do depend a bit on how good your ISP is but I rarely have any trouble and I odn't have a great ISP (Orange) usually can be wifi or wired prices of the TVs? Always You can get same functionality on current TV from a ?100 xbox360 or PS3 if you prefer
  3. true true, but as you you had fingered the wrong "girl" I thought I'd call you on it ;-)
  4. are people confusing giggirl with sweetgirl? Not sure what either has done to warrant that post LeahP
  5. "So straferjack, you have children, but are agreeing with giggirl? It's clear she doesn't have children (lifestyle choice). Why did she have to bring up about being disabled in a very nonchalant way though in a post about parking?" Yes I do have children and "mostly" I agree with giggirl. I don't want to put words in her mouth but when she mentions disabled children, she is questioning why sweetgirl (who makes SOME valid points as well btw) is hyperbolic about "worst of all I have kids!!" and "MILES from my house" a) any money she never has to park MILES from her house b) she brought kids into the debate when it's besides the point. If the kids in question are disabled then assitance in parking near a house should be provided but if they are fully fit then why can't they walk to their own front door Wanting to park outside your front door is fine - thinking you have a right to is something different, regardless of wether you have kids or not
  6. Minder. Some of us do have children but fail to see what's offensive about the comments giggirl made You might disagree with her comments but "offensive"???
  7. It IS amazing what people will gravitate to when it's easy and in their face tho
  8. and can we all agree that "mate" has seen more than enough action for one day?
  9. Imagine what it would be like to actually work for Huguenot....
  10. Seems to me Simon has made some very good points, in an articulate way and just because Huguenot has disagreed with him, he has torn into Simon as if he were some random internet troll It's all very well saying "fun at his expense" but it was well OTT and is the sort of thing that discourages people from joining in debate. Sometimes people are genuinely worth ripping into after protracted or stupid comments, but Simon isn't one of them by the looks of things On balance, I tend to come down on the same side as Huguenot re "should voting be mandatory" but that doesn't mean I can't hear the opposite viewpoint, especially when it's being well put
  11. ... You can see where this is going...
  12. It's Raining Today - Scott Walker

  14. I was up there (MeatMarket) on Monday - it wasn't open yet but it's on the first floor of the indoor market on the south side of Covent Garden Very very much a fast food counter with some tables and lot's of signs hanging from the ceiling.

  18. elpibe - it's hardly a twitter versus anywhere else debate is it? Idiots exist here and expose themselves just as much as they do on twitter
  19. He's boasting about how he is going to fool us all by starting gently on his twitter feed as well the Alan Partridge of trolls even worse, a local "celebrity" food blogger is egging him on Pathetic - just as childish as today's Sun front page
