  1. We have recently been to both Vauxhall and Spitalfields city farms and would recommend both - our little girl loved them both If you are closer to Forest Hill Station then Spitalfields possibly easier to get to on the Overground, but Vauxhall technically closer and easy on the 185 bus - just get off after Oval Station
  2. a) Pretty unclassy way to introduce yourself to the forum b) There is a football thread for football matters c) RvP DID shake hands, and Wenger did wait around to shake Martinez hand, but Martinez took to long with his own staff - you can't wait around forever
  3. If you have back up your 3 on iTunes, your 4 will (eventually!!) synch that backup and even open on the same screen as you last saw on your 3 So for me it was painless and impressive. But iTunes is fickle and I know people who had bother (some apps not copying etc)
  4. How does this consent from parents happen then? Approach a gang of youths and say "would you mind popping off home and getting permission from your parents? No.. Don't worry I'll do it. Just tell me where you live and I'll go and ask them. Meet you all back here in say... 60 minutes?"
  5. The YourMove one it didn't look like water damage - it wouldn't have smashed as much as I saw It looked as if someone had fallen through the ceiling - but i can't imagine there is anything much in an agents to warrant that
  6. But it was pretty obvious from the busstop just outside that something has happened over the weekend - big hole in the ceiling and something/someone fell down to knock over the window display Just curious as to what happened
  7. I didn't like it when spurs were crowing "mind the gap", and I don't like it when Arsenal fans do it either Fortunes change on such small things - Spurs freefall has been enjoyable on a personal level as it means plenty to finish above them (much less qualify for CL) - but crowing in public... I dunno. We (Arsenal) were in such dire straits earlier this season, it's a testament to Wenger for turning it around. But careful what you dish out... it can come back on you Arsenal allegiance aside, I enjoyed Spurs purple patch this season. Great football, club on the rise and all that... The easy opinion of "Arry for England" being the cause of their decline is cliched, but true IMO. For spurs fans it's plain horrible luck and timing - but it could happen to anyone. I feel for them As I'm in the footie thread can someone have a word with Young at Man Utd - scheming, diving, 'orrible tart. To be caught once is unfortunate - to be caught again within a week suggests something much bigger
  8. Come come dulwich fox You either "just avoid the place" Or You want something done before "a small child becomes ill" But you can't be both.
  9. won't someone think of the children!!!
  10. Or you could take the point that markets like this exist everywhere in the country, in fact in most countries, and it?s not a problem, foxy Do the denizens of ED really buy the cheese on a Saturday, fall ill on a Sunday and come back for more the next week? No ? because it?s fine. There is nothing to worry about
  11. Ooooh I say. Good spot ms curtain
  12. I think remembering and reflecting are good things I also support the ongoing investigations into what happened that day I just don't also equate any of that with refusing to play on that date. Play the game. Play it with special arm bands and send a message to a wider public. I'm not really saying "move on" so much as do everything you feel you need to do... But play the match as well
  13. every word of it true
  14. Consfusing formatting aside, if you have a friend who compares remembering WW1 (and the ramifications through history) to a single, tragic day in football history, and you think they are the most level-headed person you know.... well....
  15. Sometimes they can be "by the book" but mostly when I pick up parcel for my partner or vice versa there isn't a problem. GG - I would definitely go and get it for peace of mind sake. If it isn't some marketing flimflam I would notify relevant authorities just to be on safe side
  16. what otta said was, was "Hillsborough is different because of all the cover up, and the quest for truth, which keeps it alive, helped by fans' slightly twisted desire to share in the grief in order to feel like part of something, even though they had no link at the time" Now he could have added "some" before fans, but just because he didn't doesn't mean he meant "all" - that's your interpretation and there is no need for it really
  17. Atticus - you are making yourself look very foolish here. I can't see anything Otta has said that could be deemed even mildly, much less "very" offensive Some Liverpool fans are waaaaaay oversensitive - and refusing money from AD because they took "offence" at what he said just proves the point. All season long people have had to listen to many Liverpool fans adopt an odd, seige-like mentality (Suarez anyone?) and Otta has been brave enough to step aside from that particular consenus and give a more reasoned opinion Not really sure what your beef is
  18. Turkish shop next to Chener books - just by the steps down to the back up high on the left hand side above the spices
  19. I'd say the sight of his team mates trooping past him as he lay injured at half time is, if not proof, indicative of some major team issues Reports of bust ups in the dressing room after the game as well
  20. veggie roasties - with goose fat?
  21. groundnut oil for roasties is what I use - gets up to a good temp. Herbs and that down to preference. I like a bit of paprika
  22. Aye quids That first goal in particular reeked of "the one they show in the season review as The Moment"

I think I was well past 10000 posts before I retired briefly. It wasn't the number itself But kudos to anyone who breaks that barrier
