  1. interesting blog from a producer about vinyl here: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/marcedwards/10618828/raw/484701b224880fad0763f6f9ece0f913b8826c94/Vinyl+vs+CD+vs+digital+audio tl;dr vinyl ain't all that
  2. I wouldn't go as far as Parkdrive and compare the two. And yet, and yet.. I don't mind people eating on the tube/bus - unless it's certain kind of foods Sarnie? Fruit? Why not But cheese and onion pasty, or the chicken bones I find on the upper decks? yeah that's pretty grim If you don't mind it fair enough, but courtesy to others would indicate that plenty of people do mind it so why not hold back a little?
  3. I copied and pasted it, let me post it fine too
  4. I suspect it's a phrase you are prone to using Look at subsets of the letters. Any phrase which might be used by spammers But it's not personal
  5. No one is singling picture house out To be sure, many many businesses pay far less than living wage BUT the staff have grouped and called a strike. That's not a small feat. And that's what deserves support. It just so happens picture house are the employers in this case
  6. I'm with foxy on this one.
  7. Fazer/fabfor doing some aircraft drowning out sessions
  8. " You got what your short sightedness wanted." can you guess what I want next?
  9. which is what it will almost certainly become. Costa anyone? (given Nero and SB have a presence already?)
  10. I don't think I have ever said we are powerless to change at all various changes can be made - either personally or logistically (for which there are consequences) if the will is there But what I have said and am saying is that most people go about their lives either not noticing the noise or at lest largely ignoring it, accepting they live in a city. No air traffic = no city. Air traffic somewhere else = moving the problem to whoever is like you in a differenet neighbourhood
  11. as others have said, it's clearly been struggling for years. When it opened the righthand side was regularly-refreshed with a wide range of stuff. For years it has been nothing but piles of repeating dried goods the bread, meat and cheeses on the other side - all very lovely - but they didn't need such large premises to sell them (and the layout actually got in the way as often as not) is the concession in Harrods still going?
  12. both pages definitely creepy and odd . But yknow.. the Internet But you can guess who is getting more unwanted attention, bullying and sexual harrasment on the back of pages like these, can't you?
  13. you are kidding Loz, surely? Women complaining about men taking up space like that is a well worn path but it's not creepy The women who eat on the tube thing (esp the comments) is a window into an uglier place entirely
  14. yup, at the moment I'm less interested in historical blame - where does that begin and end?? - and more interested in recognising and accepting there is a problem here and now, so what do we do about it (although I am interested in PT's study and reporting)
  15. "I don't want him to go - hope we win the FA Cup and he stays." I'm exactly the same LG. Although I temper that with the knowledge things are going to get worse for him so I can see why he might have had enough
  16. I wouldn't dream of pretending to know a % RD - i just don't get along to games anymore so I'm reliant on forums and the like up until recently my gut feel was about 20% of fans were vociferous in their anger towards Wenger, but I'm sensing it's a lot higher now Either way, the man himself would be unhappy with even 10% shouting at him they way some are. Does he think things will be better next season. Man Utd fortifying in the summer, Chelsea replacing forwards, Man City doing what they do, Liverpool possibly defending the title, Everton pushing on? Or does he think every little slip will see the abuse intensify and the possibility of a dignified exit diminish? I think he will go this summer regardless of how well/badly we do (and I am not confident about beating Wigan at weekend at all) all feels a bit sad to me
  17. Yeah I think he won't renew hoc contract. He's just too aware of how some fans are agin him
  18. Main reason was a person was hit by a train wasn't it? Perspective
  19. It's looking more and more likely Wenger will be gone too isn't it
  20. David McWilliams on similar situation in Ireland http://t.co/88VudwqXD8 Not exact like for like, but enough familiar factors
  21. Still, a working class / middle class who can't afford jack shit is definitely progress from a working class that had homes provided for them isn't it.
  22. Parody of a parody of a parody You are entering absurd territory now quids Dodgy tower blocks exist everywhere from all providers But average 3 bed semi from ex council stock? Solid as a rock. Especially compared with many wimpy homes Do you have do drag every argument down go an insult to metropolitan lefty types in such predictable fashion? Just stick to the argument dude
  23. Unlurked is a socialist? I don't think so
  24. But it isn't just that is it? Demand can't and hasn't suddenly risen that much A herd mentality has triggered and people are behaving in irrational ways
  25. Panic on the streets of london Let's treat those numbers with if not suspicion then at least a question Why the SUDDEN rise in demand. There isn't this amazing increase in influx to account for numbers such as these. Conditions are such that panic has set in and people are paying stupid money. It s not new. Every time it's "yyyy people chasing xxx houses" If others weren't panicking the equilibrium would be more stable, without a single extra brick laid
