When you have trillionaires taking over Chelsea and city, "normal" clubs can only do so much Add a fergie man utd into mix and effectively you are playing for fourth each year I still think the Eduardo leg break a few years ago was main reason we didn't win league that year tho (you can argue we should have anyway) But given money at our disposal compared to others, I maintain we have overachieved

Numbers, I'm not near a keyboard so can't link at the mo but throughout the noughties waiting lists were down and patient satisfaction went up That's what you would want isn't it ?

That's more like it otta That said how many governments saved enough for that particular rainy day? Basically you can't Allied to this is the fact that this government is ideologically using the deficit to decimate the public institutions. I have them benefit of doubt for first two years but I think history will judge us mad to go along with them at this stage Not sure how I feel about being called Sean on here tho ;-)

You didn't mention global meltdown, but without it how does your accusation of overspending stack up?

Without the global meltdown, the western economies were doing just fine This prime minister and chancellor signed up to and agreed with labour spending policies at the time After years of neglect, swathes of the infrastructure was being corrected Since the meltdown the same duo have blamed everything on labour overspending when nothing of the sort was happening

well guarantee is a bit strong But if you look at the other "big" names - I doubt they would have been happy with the constraints Wenger worked under. So they would have either not taken the job or left early doors Only he, who had been so embedeed at the club could have had the backing and the sheer willpower to deliver what he did.

I guarantee no other manager could have spent those last 500 games moving Arsenal to a new stadium and keeping us in champions league every year on a restricted budget. the man's a legend and we will rue the day he leaves
