Hi all, N, I am a first time mum to be too. I am due around the 18th of February (nearly 10 weeks, so early days for me). I am keen to link up with some newbie's and experienced mothers. I am going to stay away for another couple of weeks until my scan as I feel it's early day's still for me. So I'll see you all on here in a few weeks time. Cross fingers for me. S

Thanks ladies, that's very helpful. Apparently my GP surgery provides ante-natal and post natal care on shared care basis with Kings so I assume as Grotty said I should get my appointment at 8-10 weeks.

Hi all, I'm newly pregnant and trying to get my head around midwife services and timing of appointments. I've seen my GP to confirm pregnancy and she informed me she would be referring to midwife service (unsure which one) and for my ultra sound at Kings. She was unclear as to the timing of midwife appointment stating that it would be in 8-9 weeks time which would be after my ultra sound appointment (14-15 weeks pregnant). From what I've read and heard from new mum friends (not living in Dulwich) is that the booking appointment should be between the 8-10 week mark. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I'm also keen to hear of other's experiences of midwifery services in Dulwich. I'm with 306 medical centre and not sure who they are affiliated with. Thanks for your help.

I'm looking for advice on child care costs. I am looking for three full days of child care per week and have no idea what this may cost. I am wondering what the cost difference is between a nursery, child minder and a nanny? Also what others feel about the different options, which one you feel are better for a 1 year olds development.
