My son is into porridge after a daily 16 hour fast. He makes it in water and adds mashed banana, sultanas/raisins and nuts. He's trying to get down to almost zero body fat. Supposedly if you refrain from eating for that length of time the body starts eating its own fat. So for the other 8 hours in the day you don't need to restrict yourself. That's what he thinks anyway or at least that's what I think he thinks.
