  1. http://www.irblaws.com/index.php?law=8&language=EN Before the Aussies scored their 1st try the Lions had a penalty advantage. In my experience I can't recall a ref calling a penalty offence as 'advantage over' as this one did. So instead of what would be expected normally, at least 3 points for the attacking team (or the chance of), we had 7 points for Australia. A 10 point turnaround. I understand 'advantage over' being played for lesser offences than a penalty kick but I don't understand this. Of course advantage can't go on forever but surely after x amount of time it goes back to the offended team. The only advantage the Lions could have got was a try which didn't happen. Anyone got an opinion? As for the game I think the Lions will be annoyed it was so close. They played for the most part not very well and will improve. The Aussies were like scavengers and good ones at that. I'm not sure about Phillips at SH and I'd love to know how they nearly managed to throw it away losing a scrum under the Aussies posts with a couple of minutes to go.
  2. 100
  3. What I was trying to say was why are they charging ?10? I wouldn't want a full English breakfast. I'm a veggie.
  4. Noticed they are selling tickets for ?10 incl breakfast and a drink. Does that mean you don't get in without a ticket or is that those who want breakfast?
  5. I got three winners today and a bundle of points. I should retire.
  6. North and Roberts might not make it due to injury. However much Gatland wishes he has two more games, surely it's the Aussies who will be undercooked in the first test. They haven't had a game since last year. If 1/2p continues to kick his goals so well, the first test won't be the problem.
  7. I must have been pi**ed when I wrote that last post. Way past my bedtime. So how about Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid?
  8. I think having a comfort film and listing several is a sign of needing comfort. Either that or you just want to tell everyone what (great?) taste you have in films.
  9. Gregory's Girl
  10. Cinema Paradiso its gotta be.
  11. Hope you are making the right decision. I had friends who made that move and ended up in Queensland. Boy did they have a beautiful place near Penzance though. But they were them and you are you. Lovely part of the world.
  12. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/britishandirishlionsrugby/10107779/Lions-v-Reds-Owen-Farrell-showed-he-was-not-good-enough-to-be-in-this-squad.html Interesting Telegraph article. They reckon Zebo will we called in and that Farrell isn't good enough yet. Same could be said probably of Conor Murray at SH. Ben Youngs probably got himself a place on the bench for the 1st test after today's performance.
  13. I bet on Rafa to win Paris. Close shave yesterday but getting him at about evens was good at the quarter final stage. Glad he's not playing Tsonga in the final too.

Great game from Queensland today but no scrum or lineout cost them. There was no mention on tv of Farrell limping as being part of the injury list. Hope having only two 10's isn't a mistake. Wonder who they will call in for Bowe. Madigan would be my pick. He seems to be the sort of guy who can play anywhere in the backline and very talented.
  15. What part of lordship lane is that shorty?
  16. I think Woodward did enough disrespecting of the Lions when he managed the tour to NZ. However, given how much the host union makes from these tours compared to the visitors,it only right that the teams they face are up to scratch and field their best XV. If the Lions lose the series there will be serious questions asked about future tours. My nailed on test players so far: 1/2p Sexton Phillips Heaslip O'Connell
  17. He wants to sell David Luiz from what I've read.Thought he was a good footballer if not defender.

  19. Humour has to be good.
  20. So what do we make of women posing naked but covering their bits (mostly) with dead creatures of the sea to help the cause of stopping overfishing the seas? It got my attention.
  21. The only negative today in my view was Farrell. His discipline let him down when he was held and that could be costly in a more important match. I'm sorry Madigan isn't on tour and I hope the management don't regret selecting only two number 10's.
  22. Carlton Cole is on a free if you're interested.
  23. I didn't though I bought a book recommended by one of the posters. I appreciate the information many people gave regarding the illness and passed it on to my brother. If people met up I'd expect it was done by arranging it by private messages.I say that as i've not seen anything on the forum to that effect. Maybe if that's what you would like you could contact people who posted here the same way?
  24. As long as Liverpool don't go out and spend ?35M stupidly as they did before.
  25. The Fantasy rugby site is doing some strange things. Can't seem to complete my entry.
