  1. Based on your tip Mick I've just put a couple of grand on them to win it (borrowed it). You did mean the Grand Slam didn't you?

  3. I'm not sure Gidget has 'bits'.
  4. Gidget, you know that brie is not part of a fondue recipe. The other cheeses have already been purchased. I really want to know if white spirit ignited will blow up CP Road?
  5. Thanks 'boutnow for telling me your experience. As my brother has kept this under wraps for so long I really don't know how educated they (his family) are about the subject. I expect, being the intelligent person he is, he has read everything there is available to know. However, I'm sure there is always something else which might help. Thanks again.
  6. You all know that none of this HNY stuff means a jot unless some of it happens, and usually it doesn't. So, whatever your battle is in 2013, as long as it's just, fight a good fight. You can't do any more. Good luck too. We all need a bit of that on occasions.
  7. Thanks quids. Is there any self-boiling cheese out there?
  8. RD, what's going on? Quids has just put in his 2nd set of predictions for tomorrow (not sure about Otta). What are the rules?
  9. Does anyone know if you can use white spirit? Usually but rarely use Meth spirits but don't have any.
  10. England were impressive against the AB's but I wonder how affected the blacks were by the illness in the camp prior to the game. Ireland have some good players coming through and ROG is not 1st choice fly-half anymore. Ireland's best display in a long time was against Argentina. With England and France having to play in Dublin, if Ireland can get off to a good start in Wales, they should be in with a good shout.

I've been told today that she was first diagnosed in 2006 (she is now a thirty something) and has an annual review of her medication, which it seems is lithium. Her parents though are obviously more concerned than ever, possibly due to being told of her rambling posts on FB along with spending Xmas on her own when she could have been with her parents and sisters. They live in a rural outpost of Ireland and I wonder how much understanding and/or support there is for both parties there.

  13. Thank you LadyD. I hope you don't mind if I share your thoughts and experiences with my brother.
  14. This is the same chap who Stoke didn't sign due to his knee if I remember correctly.
  15. It seems like a difficult situation where the parents who are now elderly want to do the best for their daughter and think CBT may be it. But CBT requires the person to want to do it and I'm not sure that's currently the case. It seems she is on her meds but is becoming more erratic. My concern is that they think she may be suicidal. I'm sure PaulK will offer advice or is that P(ric)K.

I don't know Otta, but if I could learn anything from someone on the forum who has experience of dealing with a person who has this condition, I'd like to be able to pass it on.

    Bipolar

I've had a sad of sorts email from someone whose daughter has this illness. She is an adult. Her parents want her to have CBT, as they don't think her medication is enough. Has anyone had to deal with or know this problem? If so would you please share your experience?
  19. Nasri did a fair impression of someone who'd been shot until a half second later he decided he didn't like the tackle and wanted to let the player know, more close up.
  20. That was brilliant. Wonder what you will be calling him though if he doesn't sign a new contract?
  21. I like The Mentalist.
  22. The best example of diving in that game was Defoe. I'm not certain Bale dived, though I have to admire the few players who will try and stay on their feet at all costs.
  23. ......then I'll start eating meat.
  24. That sounds better so long as there is no 'maxxi' rule whereby you get a minimum number of points if you don't enter. If you were to include it in the league then I think it would have to be on the basis of bonus points but not literal points as there are so many fixtures and it could make the league predictions almost irrelevant thereby demeaning the league.
  25. Your the boss and probably getting people to do predictions for 32 matches (not the 64 I said) might be a bit much.As an alternative suggestion, to allow all of the FA cup to be included (which entirely contradicts what I just wrote), why not have a knock out from the third round whereby, by the Q/finals you have 8 remaining. In the preceding rounds it's the lowest total who goes out (you decide how many are out in each round as you need to lose 5 from 13 in 3 rounds) but when you get to the qf's it's head to head?
