  1. I don't think you can technically boil a kettle.
  2. The fatal flaw RD would be if you didn't watch the draw, or record it. Oh, you might want to clarify what happens with those on equal points.
  3. Tuesday 12th February 2013 Celtic 1 Juventus 1 Valencia 2 Paris SG 1 Wednesday 13th February 2013 Real Madrid 1 Man Utd 1 Shakhtar Donetsk 1 Borussia Dortmund 1
  4. I like this. Celtic winger Kris Commons says he is not bothered that Rangers have offered Juventus use of their Murray Park training ground ahead of Tuesday's Champions League game. "If they want to prepare at a Division Three training ground, let them get on with it," he said.
  5. That sounds ominous. I'm sure I've had a crap week.
  6. If anyone gets above zero they will be doing very well. MM, in case you wondered it's not the score of your last round of golf!
  7. It may be simplistic but given the conditions Ireland tried to win too much which led to too many mistakes. Well done England and particularly their management. They got it right.
  8. Interesting stat shows starting teams pack weights only 5kgs in England's favour. However if/when they introduce their subs that could extend the difference to 64kgs. I don't like the sound of that as there are wet conditions and the pitch isn't great. Backs less likely to see the ball where I think Ireland has the advantage, whereas if it becomes a forward battle that extra weight could give England a big advantage in the last 20 minutes. That's my theory anyway but hoping to be wrong.
  9. Well that's good news for me.
  10. The average wisdom of the predictions are: Scotland 19 Italy 21 France 30 Wales 21 Ireland 20 England 22 The only prediction to exactly match any of these is that of Gingerbeer for the Ireland v England match. That must mean something though I know not what.
  11. Well, you've just saved yourself a -40 deduction if that's any consolation. Methinks you've been listening to too many English 'experts' though. That's 20 down the pan, he says!
  12. Well, I've introduced the additional guessers (or is it chancers) into the equation with a suitable penalty for missing a week. This was worked out using a complex formula and then subtracting 3 from maxxi's score. Still, plenty of points to be won. Gingerbeer, you have until 14.30 to get your entry in or face a deduction.
  13. Can you open this maxxi? Where are you Gingerbeer? If the rest of you want to be included I would have to change the original rules and start you with a minus 40 non Grand Slam entry (given maxxi's score). Ok with that?

There isn't a rule for late entries given you're as likely to score minus points as plus points. So if you can think of one, put it to the committee.
  16. maxxi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Scotland 18 Italy 24 > France 28 Wales 15 > Ireland 21 England 24 Apologies maxxi. I missed your late entry last week. Will add it and update when I get home.
  17. My predictions for the w/end. Scotland 22 Italy 21 France 33 Wales 26 Ireland 26 England 19 Up to GB & ????'s now.
  18. Tottenham 1 Newcastle 1 Chelsea 2 Wigan 1 Norwich 3 Fulham 1 Stoke 1 Reading 1 Sunderland 2 Arsenal 2 Swansea 0 QPR 1 Southampton 1 Man City 1 Aston Villa 2 West Ham 1 Man Utd 2 Everton 2 Liverpool 3 West Brom 0

  20. I think that could be improved with a little more fuss and a blue side plate.
  21. After round 1 the scores look like this. Next weekends fixtures are as follows: Scotland v Italy 2.30 Saturday France v Wales 5.00 Saturday Ireland v England 3.00 Sunday Don't forget to enter all two of you. All of them look tasty to watch and thankfully the 6 nations is entertaining so far.
