  2. Oooh Frank, what would Betty say?
  3. Not when it comes to golf. There's only one gold medal. It's not the Ryder Cup Frank. Team GB is a bit of a misnomer when you consider members of the same 'team' compete against each other in some sports.
  4. But it's not a team event Frank so what difference does it make which team Gmac is in?
  5. I think you missed his point. Everyone is from Ireland if you go back far enough. Ask every US President.

Of course it will. There are plenty of small minded idiots out there who will take offence whichever way he chooses. If he does feel more British than Irish then he should go for Team GB and ask to change it to its correct name, Team GB & NI. > > If he chooses GB he might get to play with Gmac, > but more realistically 3 English players. If that > is likely to happen he may be swayed towards > Ireland, if Gmac does not get picked for GB. Both he and GMac represented Ireland in the golf World Cup as a team. But like rugby, hockey & cricket, they have one team representing the whole 'country'. In Brazil it wont be a team event as such, though each country is limited in how many golfers they can enter. http://golf.about.com/od/tourmajorevents/f/olympicformatfield.htm The only certain golfers to gain entry are the top 15 in the World rankings. If there are two or more from GB & NI in that 15 they could all play. But if Gmac for example finished 16th and didn't qualify for the GB team he may well qualify for the Ireland team.

  8. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/sep/10/rory-mcilroy-team-gb-ireland?newsfeed=true Rory appears to have nailed his colours to the mast.
  9. Can't help I'm afraid but as it starts at 9pm it's likely to go on for at least 3 to 4 hours. Someone who knows which pubs stay open that late might be able to narrow it down for you.
  10. When you zoom in on the map it looks like you're going to Tinnakilly Big. What a name.
  11. It's not far from Rosslare either if you need a quick getaway.
  12. Who said they are all nutters? One nutter is enough.
  13. I think that's a good call.
  14. I'd like to know why Vick edited his post within 2 minutes.
  15. Well Sol, you come across as someone who bought something you didn't want and blame everyone else.
  16. I'll advise him accordingly maxxi. He's obviously a snob.
  17. First draw since 1959.
  18. Level with 10 minutes to go.
  19. In all honesty I just didn't make that assumption Otta.
  20. Where does it say that Otta? BB has just written that she doesn't actually know.
  21. It is SB, but this thread can cope with 'international' inane news too.

I think what pissed some people off if the fact you were so amazed your neighbours got concerned that you were out in your garden with a firearm.
  23. Do you bet on him winning Mick or is there an each way option?
  24. Just for the sake of clarity BB, are you saying the beating you witnessed was by the staff of Khans? How could you be so sure?
  25. If you were given advance warning of an air raid CS, where did you go locally to be protected from it, if anywhere?
