  1. I must protest on behalf of the lovely Jah - there is nothing inverse about his proportions.
  2. I could do with a scrubber - which of you ladies will oblige?
  3. I dont think Easyjet or Ryanair fly there yet - so its quite pricey to get to. People therefore tend to forget Iceland.
  4. Oh well, thats it then, case closed. I worry that people make definitive statements without backing up their points with some facts.
  5. Does Sainsburys' dominate ED? Its not in ED really - its on Dog Kennel Hill. I suspect that most people who go there drive so can also go to Morrisons, Tesco and Asda or trot up and down Lordship Lane or even go to Borough Market.
  6. *Aye Chihuahua, I feel a sombrero coming on*
  7. "Nuffink DM" :-$ *Shuffles left foot to cover large stain on the chinese silk rug* "Anyway, Moos did it! So there"
  8. Are we having the EDF Tent as we did last time? Also - will we be doing the naked maypole thing again?
  9. I have a swastika in my passport - its in the middle of the exit stamp from Nepal. It is a little disconcerting.
  10. Fantastic bhajis. My lamb dish was rather good too.
  11. I think that we remember it, but not in such word perfect detail, the posession of which is a tad worrying.
  12. I still feel stuffed. Good to see folks last night. When's the next one?
  13. Dining at Omrith with the EDF Curry Club - all welcome :)) Well, maybe not all 2000+ of us - might be a tad snug.
  14. The Lloyds Pharamcy temporary signs were up about a week ago and the staff were wearing their uniform. Same staff, same pharmacists.
  15. Me too - and this time I will make it to the correct pub .....:(
  16. Doh! Bring the in-laws along whydontcha? Anybody else up fo it? I will book the table soonish.
  17. As luck would have it, I have had neither accident or emergency in my 20 years residence in the area. However, please be assured that, should such a thing happen, I would drag my battered and bleeding corpse to Camberwell for healing and cool cloths upon the forehead; based purely on the recommendations within this thread.
  18. Votematch identified my first and second choices accurately - I have already voted using a postal ballot VOTE BOZZA - HE MAY BE BARKING, BUT AT LEAST LIFE WOULD BE INTERESTING!! >:D<
  19. The Forum isnt a business - its run on a voluntary basis by a small team of Administrators that somehow shoe-horn keeping an eye on the Forum into their busy lives, I am not one of them by the way. As far as I am aware the only funds that the Forum receives is from the sponsorshop from local businesses - but that is not alot. All who use a public forum surely need to do so responsibly. If the Forum has been threatened with legal action, the Admin Team needs to take a balanced view. The debate on G&B wasnt stopped, but elements of it were controlled; thus is the nature of moderation. All of us who use the Forum do so voluntarily, if we dont like the moderation exercised, then we can always stop using it. In doing so we exercise our freedom of choice, no matter how chippy we may be.
  20. To be fair to TJMP, I am very happy that she is taking an active interest in local transport issues. I would be interested in a reasoned response on the following issues - please note these are not cheap shots, I would like a response if possible: ELLE - how likely is phase 2 funding? Given that the London Olympic funding is mopping up alot of current London funding and that post the Olympics the other parts of the country will be clammering for "their" projects to be funded The Tram to Peckham - how likely is this, given the above funding issues? Would TJMP agree that the immediate area has been poorly served in terms of transport investment? More buses, perhaps, but the Walworth and Old Kent roads are now full of buses and we need proper investment in fixed track transport. Given the massive funding going into east London (deservedly) our part of London must be have the last major areas of economic deprivation which isnt properly plugged into the Underound network. Our part of SE London seems to be a blind spot for the politicians - infrastructure investment seems to get sucked to the East of us, North of us and even West of us - but never seems to land here. There has been SO much discussion of the need, but nothing happens. Other priorities appear and we just get lost. When will it be our turn? and What actual tangible benefits to TJMP's constituency are the 2012 Olympics going to provide?
