  1. Apparently they are "opening their fourth restaurant in East Dulwich" - which are the other 3 ED restaurants then?

  4. Sadly I think that I will be escorting Estonians around the London stews next Wednesday. Am turning into the michelin man.
  5. .... or was the white fluffy stuff falling from the sky yesterday - desicated coconut?
  6. What are the chances of being killed by a shark falling from the sky whilst walking (the victim, not the shark) in Dulwich Park after Sunday lunch? One for the statisticians I think.
  7. I suspect that it is actually white sand from the Caribbean. The weather systems follow the Gulf Stream down from that area. The Caribbean sand is made from coral and as such is esily lifted into the clouds by the high tropical winds. When they reach colder climes rain drops form around the sand grains and fall. Something similar regularly happens in the Med - except there it is red rain with sand from North Africa. The white painted houses are turned a lovely shade of pink in these circumstances. Why they have disapeared overnight is conjecture, perhaps they were blown away by the prevailing winds - has anybody heard of sand-dunes forming in Sydenham perchance?

  10. I spotted MrBignumber5J (this is getting a little confusing) in The Dog this very day - he looks marvellous with his ginger beard. Whats wrong with the ginger recessive gene anyway?
  11. What "news" about the BC?! So far all we have been told is that because they cant expand to the rear they "will" be shutting. Where is the evidence? This feels more like a campaign to put pressure on Council planners using the tactics used, at least partially, by Cafe Nero. So far we have had no actual evidence that the place will close - only supposition and hear-say. A campaign to stop closure is one thing, a campaign to support expansion is something else.
  12. I believe Dulwichmum has a hadbag made from the scrotum of one of them. Bit it off herself she did.

  23. I have little sympathy for those that create extreme pain and suffering. However, I am and will always remain an opponent of the death sentence. My reasoning is simple. As long as the legal system remains flawed then there is a chance that an innocent person will be killed by the state. As the legal system is run by humans it will always be flawed and so therefore a miss-carriage of justice will always be possible, therefore capital punishment can never be allowed. Those that suffer a miss-carriage of justice will suffer terribly, but at least they are still alive and can be let out of prison and compensated. This will NEVER be enough BUT at least they are still alive. For me, the chance that one innocent person could be executed by the state is enough to under-mine any argument for capital punishment.
  24. Wish my old school had a pub in it. Still, there was a pub in Cannock in the 70s that served us in our school uniforms.
