  1. I wasnt gettting an email telling me about PMs yesterday - has that been fixed? Not a major issue I realise.

  3. Didnt have a clue about what I wanted to do as a feckless youth. In 2006 I found myself in Kathmandu doing some organisational development consultancy with a UK Government Department. From my Hotel I looked out over Kathmandu to the far Himalayas and wondered "How did this happen?"
  4. I know some people locally that might be interested. They are into Breton folk music but are open minded.

  11. Fantastic - brightened up my afternoon no end. On holiday in Greece a friend and I went on a coach tour of Athens and Corinth. We got chatting to a Granny who was on holiday with her 12 year old Grandaughter. Granny confided with us that she thought that soon the Grandaughter would soon be too old to want to go on holiday with Granny or appreciate trips such as this. The next trip was a cruise that included passage through the Corinth Canal. She said "I want to take my Grandaughter up the Corinth Canal whilst she is young enough to appreciate it" How I didnt bight through my bottom lip is beyond me.
  12. Not the Scrabble I am afraid - are you doing the Mags quiz afterwards? I could be up for that.
  13. For those interested in London history. I had a leaflet stuffed into my hand at Temple tube station yesterday. Its reads: "The Temple open weekend gives you an unprecedented access to one of London's great hidden gems. The Temple was the home to the Knights Templar, where Twelfth Night was premiered and the Chelsea Flower show was born. Located netween Embankment and Fleet Street the Temple is the centre of legal training and the practice of law in London" It is an ancient area some of which is normally closed to the public, part of the Da Vinci Code was set in the Temple church itself - its a circular Templar church rather than the normal square shape. Temple Open Weekend I think that I will toddle along. Anybody interesed?
