  1. You should. To both. Enough of this edgy banter.
  2. Bad form all round I think. Mother for asking for money, same mentality that sees a bill being issued for non-appearance at a kids birthday party. Myleene for publically humiliating the Mother and then complaining when the response is equally public.
  3. We all know that you are Declan now, Declan. Coming for a curry?
  4. Twot
  5. So, you are Declan. You were the only one of the two of you to use your given name as your original Forum name, so, no revelation there. Many people post on this thread. Only two post items that are nothing to do with the Curry Club, its activities or their engagement with the Curry Club. Is your ego so huge that other threads simply cannot contain it?
  6. Quids, Declan either come to curry club or b*gger off and play your stupid games elsewhere. It is precisely this kind of behaviour that gives the impression of an exclusive clique and puts new people off. So, turn or shove off.
  7. A good night with 9 people, including two new attendees who were made most welcome. A few drinks in The Rose first and then next door to Omrith. Omrith does seem to struggle with large-ish groups. One starter was cold and had to be sent back, it had possibly been prepared and then left while the rest of the starters were prepared. Feedback on the quality of food was variable, some enjoyed, some not so much. Mine was OK but did seem a little congealed. Really, it took too long for food to be brought to the table. Still, we were given a free drink when the bill was presented, 25 pounds each, inc tip. A little more expensive than others. SO - Next month its Veer Zara http://veerzara-eastdulwich.co.uk/ I had a meal there a few days ago having not been there for a year or so. Previous experiences had been disappointing but my recent meal was good, so lets give it a go. Meet in the EDT at 7pm and on to Veer Zara at 8pm XX
  8. Best be would be for the ED line to be taken over by TfL who is at least focussed on London needs and is answerable to the Mayor's office. Making the line an Overground line would work in the same way that much of the North London Overground lines and branches have done. Since the London Bridge debacle I have used the Overground more and more. It works.
  9. I will be in The Rose from about 7pm. Wearing an olive green fleece with a zipped collar and black trousers, a black duvet jacket will be hanging off the back of my chair. Its cold. (Edited when I realised that I had said that I would be "in the Fox", which is very disturbing)
  10. Please come along, we are flexible on numbers.
  11. I have booked the table at Omrith. I had a meal on Veer Zara last night. It was much improved on past experiences, so I suggest we give them a go soon.
  12. You will, you will, you will. Don't make me naga you anymore :)
  13. ... as a hat or a mini one as an ear-ring or nose ring
  14. Yes indeed, everybody is very welcome. We will meet in The Rose pub next door. ED Film Club has a clapperboard to identify themselves to new people. Perhaps I should have something similar to put on the table so that we can be easily spotted? Ideas people?
  15. .... and he personally keeps afloat many of the curry houses of ED.
  16. Who else is coming? Roll up! Roll up!!
  17. I suspect that there will be a little flexibility but not enough. The Germans are talking tough and this is obviously pre-negotiation posturing. However, Greece is economically and physically peripheral. For Greece to leave the Euro is not a complete disaster for Europe. Perhaps for Greece but not necessarily. The Greeks managed with a basket case economy with the Drachma. It was entering the Euro that was the trigger for massive over-spending, because they could. German eyes will be on Spain, Italy and Portugal. if Greece receives a Get Out of Jail card, others will want one and that wont wash with the German voter and is unsustainable for the economy of Europe. German politicians and EU bureaucrats are saying the once unsayable, "Of course we want Greece to stay in the Euro, but it they leave, we can live with it".
  18. I liked the Drachma. It was part of a Greek island holiday.
  19. This coming Thursday everybody!!
