  1. Get up against that wall the both of you .. the be-ricketted native EDers demand their revenge!!
  2. Too late, I fear. Batdog teases you and leads you on DM. Then he slips back into the murky internationalist world that he inhabits. I know his type, I have drunk with them in dank and dingy bars throughout the "developing" world.. DM, Batdog has many women, sophsticated women; all deluded. Is he there - when you REALLY need him? Is he? His priorities are the wealthy oil Princes', his clients, his providers of comfort and satisfaction. Batdog - The bar of the Summit Hotel, Kathmandu - March 2006, you know you were there..
  3. Thief? Moi? Given the oppotunity - Yup. Rounders - I could go for Rounders...
  4. Well, get yourself over here Newsummer ..... My experience of mixed bars has always been good - they have a particular groove ...
  5. *Hmmmm - October 2002, page 15 - sound familiar DM?* *Such hypocrisy* *AND LEAVE MY BL**DY GENITALS ALONE THIS TIME !!!!*
  6. Looking good . do you know when Scoops season runs from?
  7. Noe of us think that we will enjoy exerting power, until we have it .... and then ..... Madness comes to the surface ... I fear poor Mockney is lost to us as a normal human being ...
  8. So all round to DMs for a Summer BBQ. Sirus Todiwalla runs Cafe Spice Namaste and has produced a book or two - good stuff.
  9. Well, "Love" is pushing it a tad ....
  10. OH MY GOD ITS THE F'ING IVANHOE!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse my incredulity, but I lived almost opposite for nigh on 20 years and it was always a dump, I went in there precisely twice. I and anybody who could be bothered listening to me always thought that it was ideal for a thorough make-over that would attract nice, interesting people. Last thing I had heard was that it was going to be turned into flats. Strewth.
  11. I am liking the idea of the Clockhouse with ambling across to the Rye for chill outs. I have a big rug that is very suitable for such things. Nicked from a B&B in Bayeux for those that are interested. What do folks think?
  12. Sounds like a chill out room circa 1927
  13. I am in my Hotel room, before I go down to the Bar for pre-dinner Saku beer.
  14. Hah, hah, hah!! You enjoyed that didnt you!!?? OH THE POWER, THE POWER!!
  15. Mr Slater is good. I am a real fan of Jamie O. He got VERY overexposed a few years ago, but his cookingis rough, ready and damn tasty. His books are a good read too.
  16. *Finds an aged copy of Razzle and offers it to DM - for her education*
  17. Good response - I will investigate what is on and where and see what we think, on my return.
  18. Isnt that what it does? Brand new threads start at the top - and only get knocked off the top when another thread is added to by somebody. Seems to work.
  19. As summer is damn near upon us - anybody fancy going to one of the Open Air Theatres? Regents Park or The Globe. The Globe is a personal favourite - ?5 for a Groundling ticket and plenty of place to drink and eat along the river. What do you think?
  20. ... and come along to the next Forum drink! (I am organising it and am drumming up trade, so to speak)
  21. It is such a comfort to know that is not just me that doesnt have a clue what is going on around me.
  22. D-M that was kind of sneaky, BUT - if you want to "know" DM Messrs Batdog and Karter, you had better pull out your collective digits out and attend the next Forum drinkie - which Mockney-P dragooned me into organising. Talking of which - as it will be in the early Summer - anybody know somewhere with a beer garden? There is always the Fox-on-the-Hill, that isnt ED, BUT it does have a huge beer garden and cheap beer and if you stay outside you dont notice the sticky carpet or the smell of chips. Before that, there was much talk of informal drinks, and to that end I will be PMing and texting upon my return from Estonia.
  23. *Teleports in, have just whisked through Tallinn airport and am now in my Hotel room with my cup of tea from my travel kettle thinking "I do hope the Estonian girls are dressed like that tomorrow"* *I might go to the Borsi Bar tomorrow - the girls there wear even less - for a few Kroon. Should I bring a few back for the Quiet Room?*
