  1. I am NOT having a hissy fit!!!! Simply trying to get a response from folk :P I thought that the Handmaiden and First Lady were unable to attend due to pressing commitments elsewhere? Still, I shall book a table for 6 people and see how we go. XX
  2. So, shall we just forget this one then?
  3. BOUNCE!! This Thursday folks - who is up for it? As its a Thursday I will probably need to book a table. Cheers!
  4. A search has revealed nothing on the swimming pass question. So ..... ?
  5. Just back from a Curry Club trip to Whitstable. Many thanks to Curry Clubbers who let us stay in their lovely home. I will save their blushes and not name names, but both have been elevated to the rank of: Ruby Xacuti of the Emerald Bhindi Well done. A fine weekend with a lovely meal in the Shapla Restaurant, 36 Harbour Street, Whitstable on Saturday night. Also present was the First Handmaiden and the First Lady of the Toilet of the First Handmaiden. Next Curry Club meet is on Thursday 3rd November an Nandoori Tights.
  6. Hi James. I was surprised to discover that the Dulwich Leisure Centre no longer offers swimming only memberships. You can either get an all in membersship for about ?46 a month or an annual card that allows you to get a reduced price for swimming. Seems odd, I dont want (and actually cant use) the gym and I wonder why I need to have 60p at 6am in the morning? Surely, somebody must be able to organise a swimming membership in a way that is financially attractive for all?
  7. How about Thursday 3 November for the next one? Tandoori Nights? Not been in there for ages.
  8. Granny Og is one of my favourite characters, so "Weird Systers", also Death and his horse, Binky so "Mort". What kind of sci-fi/fantasy does your friend like?
  9. As nobody can prove what they were doing at the time, they are Innocent of the crime. What they may or may not have said after the crime can be explained by the pressure that two young, inexperienced and naive people were put under by the police who were out to prove a theory. They were accused of satanic sex games! Their lives were turned into an episode of Midsomer Murder, not surprising they were ess than rational.
  10. Phones turned off at night - boyfriend and girlfriend having sex all night. Not a crime. Easy to see malign patterns in events if your mind is closed to alternatives.
  11. Sloppy policing at best. They developed an early theory and then twisted any evidence they could find to prove that theory. They found a knife in the Boyfriend's draw that was covered in Knox's DNA ... ignoring the fact that there was no sign of the victim's DNA and she (poor soul) had her throat, ignoring the fact that the kinfe was used to prep veg by Knox so of course it had her DNA on it, ignoring the fact that it was a random knife pulled from a kitchen draw by the police with no clear link to the murder. The video evidence of Knox and Boyfriend kissing and cuddling in an "inappropriate" manner. Really? I saw the video evidence on the news, it looked like 2 traumatised kids conforting each other, there was nothing erotic or inappropriate about it. It was a terrible stitch up by the police and the media are, yet again, guilty of leaping on board the band-wagon without any proper analysis of fact.
  12. Tonight - 7ish in the Actress, 8ish in Jaflong.
  13. She seems to be guilty of being pretty, little else. What is slowly coming out is a more objective assessment of the evidence against her (and the already forgotten ex-Boyfriend), there was little evidence, in fact, none. Any evidence was circumstantial that fitted a pattern, if you wanted her guilty. It also fitted other patterns, but that was ignored.
  14. I think 7ish in the Actress (maybe even outside the Actress if the weather can hold on a bit longer) then to the Jaflong for 8ish. It would be good to see you and R. X
  15. A balti, whether in Brum or in the Black Country (far superior) is cheap. It doesnt have a licence, so you bring your own bottle and they serve table nans i.e. a nan the size of a duvet for all to share. Nontheless, lot another curry restaurant. Be original and see some success.
  16. Is there an app?
  17. Ouch. Still, better than the mercury cure.
  18. I recently has a bit of a 'mare with a malfunctioning HTC. Having transferred my numbers from old style Nokia to the HTC phone memory, I then discovered that the HTC couldnt read any SD memory card installed. Without that I couldnt transfer anything off the HTC, not even onto the SIM card. In the end I had to manually type all of my numbers into Outlook, but at least I could synch them back on to my new HTC afterwards. It was a pain but at least I was able to weed out the many old redundant numbers.
  19. If any of your furniture are sofas or soft chairs check to see that they have fire-retardent labels. They cant take soft furnisher that doesnt have such labels.
  20. Old stylee phones allow you to do this via the sim card, usually in batches if you have alot of numbers. Just transfer your numbers onto the sim card then put the sim in in the new phone and transfer from the sim to the phone and repeat until everything has been shifted. You might see some differences in formatting of written information (names being shortened)if you are transferring between makes of phone.
  21. Splendid , all welcome, especially new folk. I am going to dib for Jaflong this time.
  22. Ah yes, Mick Mac was doing the upright fatherly thing, playing with his youngest in the Goose Green Play Ground and I staggered sheepishly past carrying a bag full of beer. Such was my Sunday :) . How about a 1 week postponement to next Wednesday? (5/10). Where would people like to go?
  23. This can be unctickied now cant it?
