  1. Must be time for another meeting. Sorry, lost track somewhat. This Wednesday (28th)? Short notice I know.
  2. The bigger news story is that Dulwich is now a suburb of ED.
  3. I shall be there .... Dont let that put you off now.
  4. Gowlett - hands down. Brings back memories of the late lamented Pizzeria Castello at the Elephant and Castle. For me, delivery, it has to be Pizzahut from Camberwell. I know, I know ....
  5. Thanks to all the fine persons what showed up. A nice meal was had by all, my Prawn on Puri starter was good but filling. Its description in the menu caused some debate - "Prawns in gravy on fried bread", doenst really do it justice. Next meeting on Wednesday 28th September.
  6. I will be in Franklins between 7.15 and 7.30. Laters.
  7. I suggest meeting in the bar of Franklins at 7.15-ish, with a view to eat at 8-ish.
  8. Bless You Hibbs. Shall we be honoured by a loo review?
  9. Jack needs to rethink his strategy OR really prefers to spend a little 1;1 quality time with the blessed offspring. Who can blame him?
  10. YES - this is still happening. Even it is me and the delicious Katie and a bowl of Pakoras .....
  11. He will only spend it on Russian arms - yet more of them. We could supply him with lots of lovely shiny tanks and stuff. Miserable Blighter.
  12. Sorry Huguenot, clearly not, sounds lovely though. A week today Curry Lovers!!
  13. 2 members currently online: Biscuits and Prostateman Its a hive of activity.
  14. Shocking, truly shocking. Puts the rioting into perspective ....
  15. I live near to Tesco Express. During the evening various youths came past my flat, some carrying Tescos bags, all excited. They didnt seem organised, they didnt seem particularly hostile, just over-excited young men who were having a bit of a "jolly". Very wrong but not indicative of a deeper malaise. On the other hand, I watched 3 young men, white, well prepared in balaclavas and scarves, carrying batons. For 20 minutes they hid behind a wall opposite, one talking on a phone the others keeping a watch out. That struck me as unsettling. They seemed prepared.
  16. There is no social context for rioting in Croydon or Clapham or ED. Its straight criminality.
  17. Wise words Undisputedtruth. You live up to your name. Bet Kebab and Wine are still open. The Police could just wait in the back bar, the naughty boys are bound to end up in there. Sorry.
  18. An attempt at black humour. The Waitrose thing is a long running gag.
  19. Tescos Express looted. Palmerston too.

  21. Thanks all - some interesting recommendations. I agree BNG, London Bridge Tandoori is looking somewhat tired now and needs to up its act.
  22. Any recommendations for curry restaurants in the London Bridge area? I know London Bridge Tandoori, which has always been OK, but there seem to be a number around that area that I havent tried. Anybody got experience in this area? Ta
