And why did you go and do that silly Meds...? You should have gone straight to the top in an un-biased 'here are the facts' kind of way rather than engage with the office gossip. If anything, you may have given him the opportunity to turn the tables on you or find some way of squirming out of it. If the HR department is at all sophisticated i.e. Not run by the mother's horse, he may even complain about you. Mind you if he has anything to hide that won't take much to uncover and trace back to him, probably not in his interest.. I got bitten above my ankle a few weeks back and my whole foot doubled in size. It was horrendous and very painful.. Not sure what to do to prevent it again.
