Come to think of it. Take the coast road towards Nice. A really lovely, lazy drive with some stunning views over the Med.

I tend to go to the Cote D'Azur but go inland, off the beaten track. Some of the little villages are stunning and over the years I've found some great restaurants. Be brave, get in the car and just drive!

If you go into the old town in Nice there are some fantastic restaurants where the market takes place. Or try Mougin which is a beautiful little walled village a little bit inland. Raymond Blancs favourite restaurant is there.

Ah yes, rule 223. After having a quick chat with a traffic cop friend of mine, this is not mandatory, purely advice. My gripe is when you are alongside the bus and they then signal and pull out at the same time causing you to take avoiding action such as pulling out into oncoming traffic or braking.

Buses that indicate and pull out as soon as they indicate. It's not as if they have right of way.
