Been following this on Mumsnet since the start and it would appear that the building company involved have shot themselves in the foot over this as it is now on so many other forums(Nappyvalleynet.com and the like) and the national press. The original poster on Mumsnet went into a lot of detail and research about what seems to be reputation management by the building company and what seem to be false posts on a website hosted in India that was created after she had posted on Mumsnet but contained posts dated months before the posting on Mumsnet was made.

Remove the trap under the sink and see if it needs cleaning out? Usually these are full of gunk.
