Very interesting about Goose Green Beth; And just another note about Haberdashers, when you see the boys and girls palling around (ok, flirting!) in Telegraph Hill Park, they are diverse, well behaved, tidy, not too loud, and quite a credit to their school! The music is outstanding - this is exactly how a school should be - I wish there was one in every neigbourhood?

Durrrr! Sorry, changing room! Although 'hanging room' would certainly lend a peculiar interest to the Fusion facilities!

Haberdasher Askes is a fantabulous school with great facilities and grounds (you should definitely have a look), but just like all the rest it is incredibly, incredibly hard to get into. I've heard that 2000 kids apply from three different boroughs for 300 places (can that be right?). It is a City Technology College I believe. spymum (my blog: Posh Mum)

Thanks Mark for the heads up! I've been feeling very porky indeed since Christmas and was thinking of rejoining Fusion in an attempt to stave off my paunch! And I'm far too much of a wuss to run in freezing cold rain. What a pity - I hope they manage to fix it all soon (although the fabric of the entire building needs lots of TLC). I liked Fusion; it is not exclusive, the staff are lovely, the gym equipment was good, the fees were reasonable, (compared with ritzier places) and the womens hangingroom/shower was perfectly fine. It is ideally placed for a really good fitness centre, so I hope they get back on track soon. spymum (my blog:- Posh Mum)
