  1. Costa Coffee!! Tsk, tsk! It really does seem like lazy journalism - whoever wrote it probably took all their info from the EDF without having to lift a finger otherwise! But it's good that the EDF gets a namecheck - yay forum! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)

    Snorky

Snorky has to be a bloke!! I thought he/she had a certain air of grouchy maleness about him/her. I'm all confused now - I'll have to go and read all his/her posts!! Snorky, are you a girl? Oh, and yes, I am interested in what he/she has to say. Him/her and everyone! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  3. I've tried all those (ahem! expensive) anti-fox preparations like Get Off Mmy Garden and Lions Roar. As you have to reapply each time it rains (and it rains rather a lot in England!) it got tiresome quite quickly! The only one that seemed to work was a particularly foul black tar-like substance called Reynardine which was so horrible it kept all of us out of the garden too! What we need is for a hip and trendy East Dulwich designer to make Dulwich-specific fox fur hugely fashionable (maybe on the basis that the foxes are the best fed in Britain and have better pelts)! I've always been a lefty sab-supporter, but after drying copius tears after the smash 'n grab hamster eating episode I'm on the warpath! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  4. Hmmm, this whole wee thing strikes me as much easier for the blokes than the lasses. And I refuse to countenance going in a bucket even if it does get rid of the foxes. It's just not happening, OK?! But foxes are really a major pain. Believe this or not, but they have come through our electronic cat flap twice and gobbled up our hamsters. This is not a joke! Mark, how on earth did you find that hilarious H of L report? After our hamstercide I think that an urban Hunt is just what we need. spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  5. Trust me Mockney, I had to be physically restrained from plonking myself at his table, having a swig of his sake and demanding to know what possessed him to ruin my Star Wars forever!! I was hustled away by the elbow to avoid a scene! And why don't we get a Yo Sushi and a Wagagmama!? ;-) heh heh! spymum (blog: Posh Mum)
  6. love: Le Chardon Franklins Roulier White (sorry!) Dr Boo (again, sorry!!) The Charity shop Chener Books The Card Shop (they are lovely in there) SMB (same again) Jerk Rock (yummy - when it's open...) hate: The empty police station The amusement arcade Somerfield The scary weaponry shop Karavan The dingy dry cleaners/key cutting place frightened of: The empty dingy shop near William Rose and the old man in the stationery shop - totally agreed on that one Jo spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  7. Went to Ubon - food tophole but was in a mood with the husband as I thought we were going to Nobu!!! (Of Boris Becker cupboard fame). Sulked until husband finally took me to Nobu - saw Ant&Dec, bald Little Britain guy and sat next to George Lucas!!! (No Boris Becker alas). What is the Fujiyama delivery sushi like - any good?! (Cheaper than Ubon andNobu!) spymum (blog: Posh Mum)
  8. There's Oishi in Streatham that is pretty darn good - I dont think they are Japanese (though I might be wrong!) But yes! Sushi in ED NOW!!! Please! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  9. Mrs Hairy Smelly Love! LOL! Polly, you must be on the moon right now! And congratulations to Mr HSL for winning your fair hand!!! Yay! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  10. Oh dear - it is very scary - (please don't jump on me!) there is no denying it. Who would be armed to rob a tiny little sweet shop? Pathetic. Poor them, hope they're ok. And I reckon ED is considered 'safe' and 'wealthy' so there will be no money 'wasted' on us, I fear - cash goes to the really nasty zones, which is not ED. What is happening is that the crime leaves 'home' and travels to areas where the pickings are better (like the Peckhamites burgling the big Telegraph Hill houses on the basis that there is plenty to nick). Maybe it is time to get a group together and sit down with the Community Police Officer (is there one?) otherwise it will get worse before it gets better (as in Telegraph Hill). sigh. spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  11. oops, I meant OfSTED. And yeah, I forgot about Goose Green - heard good things about them from a maths tutor who worked there. spymum
  12. (Hauling this back sorta on topic); Mark - truth is an absolute defence in defamation (libel/slander). So if it is the truth, (and you can prove it - receipts etc) yah boo sucks to *whatever vendor we may/may not be discussing located in lower ED*. LOL! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  13. Well done that Clare! Woot woot!! >:D< Honestly - he shouldn't be allowed to have a dog the silly old g*t! Mockney, as time waits for no man, you are excused, and fractionater; discretion is the better part of valour, so you get off too! I have a real bee in my bonnet about dog poo - it is vile (and like I said, if I can manage to scrape it up (*gag*) anyone can!) [spymum changes into her (fetching) cape and tights]. spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  14. There is Dog Kennel Hill Primary school which is very near Melbourne Grove, up from Sainsburys and right by the very luxe Camberwell Grove. I have heard that it is a very nice place to send your kids. They take three to eleven. Her's a link (DKHPS); couldnt find the Ofted. spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)

  17. Incitatus, speaking in your inestimable capacity as a horse, wotcha think of that all this 'Equus' excitement then? All I know is, I wish that Potter lad would put his flippin' robes back on! Besides, he'll probably catch his death of cold!
  18. Good one Domitianus!(tu) [On a frivolous note] Well I don't like PC because they leer. When I walk past. So there! (blows raspberry at PC!) Why can't we have a leer free cab company? :X I shall endeavour to get witnesses when I go past tomorrow - (just in case this comes to court!) Has anyone else suffered the same treatment - Mockney? Dom, Snorky? heh heh spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)

  21. Gosh;this is happening a lot! Someone managed to clone mine and bought ?2000 worth of gold jewellery and electronic goods in Bangalore of all places. I reckon ?2000 must go a pretty long way in Bangalore, so thats a lot of jewellery. I nearly had a heart attack when I found out! Mastercard dealt with it very well though. spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  22. Thanks DM, I'm only hoping inspiration doesn't dry up - but then again, (as you yourself know) these nutty power-mums are an endless source of amusement! spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
  23. I saw the mess inside as I walked past this afternoon; it looked awful - poor Dan; I hope they get it up and running very soon. spymum (Blog: Posh Mum)
