I don't think players are forced to wear the T-shirts. It's presumed they will as it's the right and decent thing to do. Why wouldn't they want to wear one? KIO have been caught in the cross-fire of the aftermath of the Terry and Suarez affairs. They have a budget of less than ?0.5million, so what they can do/say is fairly limited. As Otta said, perhaps these players should be seeing what they can do to increase the effectiveness of KIO. I don't see how the wearing of the T-shirts is meaningless. It may be to some world wearly middle-aged fans, but it's important that the message is periodically delivered to younger fans who, whether people like it or not, look up to the players...

I'm not sure that the rest of England needed to 'up their game' in Carroll's absence, it's not like he's ever been an automatic first choice striker, like Shearer. The position alongside Rooney has been up for grabs for a while, in time I expect Welbeck will fill the role, with Carroll a Plan B option a la Crouch...

Total greed, they make more from merchandising, so I don't understnd the need for such inflated prices, instead it would've been a nice touch if they'd put on a free show for members of their fan club to mark the event...
