  4. The Flowers of Manchester One cold and bitter Thursday in Munich, Germany, Eight great football stalwarts conceded victory, Eight men who will never play again who met destruction there, The flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester Matt Busby's boys were flying, returning from Belgrade, This great United family, all masters of their trade, The Pilot of the aircraft, the skipper Captain Thain, Three times they tried to take off and twice turned back again. The third time down the runaway disaster followed close, There was a slush upon that runaway and the aircraft never rose, It ploughed into the marshy ground, it broke, it overturned. And eight of the team were killed as the blazing wreckage burned. Roger Byrne and Tommy Taylor who were capped for England's side. And Ireland's Billy Whelan and England's Geoff Bent died, Mark Jones and Eddie Colman, and David Pegg also, They all lost their lives as it ploughed on through the snow. Big Duncan he went to, with an injury to his frame, And Ireland's brave Jack Blanchflower will never play again, The great Sir Matt Busby lay there, the father of his team Three long months passed by before he walked again. The trainer, coach and secretary, and a member of the crew, Also eight sporting journalists who with United flew, and one of them Big Swifty, who we'll ne'er forget, the finest English 'keeper that ever graced the net. Oh, England's finest football team its record truly great, its proud successes mocked by a cruel turn of fate. Eight men will never play again, who met destruction there, the flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester

  10. Face facts Atila, my dick is bigger than your dick...come back when you've won 19 :)
  11. Loz, I tend to only scan A4 docs to pdfs, and haven't come across the auto-crop problem. When I want to scan I click on a HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon in my toolbar, this opens a HP Solution Centre window...then various options, Scan Document, Scan Picture etc..I scan doc, create a file name, and then can rotate, crop etc before file is saved.
  12. Did you notice a quirk of the fixture list for this past mid-week's games, all the teams competing for the League and Europe played on Tuesday, whereas those teams in a relegation dogfight and mid-table mediocrity played on Wednesday...
  13. No probs with my wireless HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One...
  14. L'Arse fans are revolting...no, seriously, they are... The black bin liners on empty seats is a nice touch...no jokes about rubbish please :)

  16. Forward to the future... It's opening night at the rebranded CPT...now called FAG (Fab & Groovy). Instead of 4 old duffers and a whippet, the clientele now consists of 4 fashionistas and a Shitzhu... http://www.delongwine.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/playmobilwinebar.jpg ''Keep smiling Tarquin, we may end up in SE22 magazine...''
  17. What do the 'ammers fans think of their new signing Ravel Morrison? As a Utd fan I'm disappointed to see him go as he has fantastic potential. He carries a lot of off-the-field baggage, enough for Fergie to say he needs to get away from Manchester, but not loaning him out, or, according to reports, putting in a buy-back clause in his contract, suggests Fergie has given up on him completely. Agree with El PiBe, BBC website is tosh :)

Er, the elbowing comments actually came from a Citeh and a 'ammers fan. If only you just did smile...
  19. Come in Agent Gibson, your mission is complete...

  22. Blimey, it all kicked off in here at the weekend :) Never nice losing to that lot, but thought we played well, just lacked cutting-edge up front without Rooney/Nani/Young...I thought taking Scholes off handed 'pool the initiative, and fair play to them, they capitalised on it. De Gea is talented but needs time, mentally as well as physically. Surprised Fergie didn't buy a more experienced 'stop-gap' keeper to help break-in De Gea over next couple of seasons. I feel the blame should be with LFC rather than their supporters with regard to the booing of Evra. They have consistently failed to address the issue in a rational way, whipping up the hysteria with their soundbites and T-Shirt publicity stunt. Matthew, like LFC, you spectacularly miss the point...when Suarez comes to OT he'll get a load of abuse with interest, but for the right reason.
  23. Worried about getting busted by the rozzers for setting up an illegal micro-brewery, Jah hits on a novel idea to dispose of the evidence... http://www.theprezzyshop.co.uk/camberwick_green/camberwick_green_images/cgyp06.jpg ''I know, we'll get some old water bottles, fill 'em up and then dump 'em down Worlingham Road, no one will notice''
  24. In a last ditch effort to save the CPT from becoming a theme pub, Otta and Jah resort to guerilla tactics, break-in, and set up their own micro-brewery... http://www.theprezzyshop.co.uk/camberwick_green/camberwick_green_images/cgs08.jpg ''Looks like piss'' said an unimpressed Brum. Off-shot, Red Devil in his replica shirt, sits down on a comfy sofa and awaits the lock-in...hic!
  25. Isn't Talksport full of self-opinionated put the world to rights nutjobs?... *sound of penny dropping*
