  5. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Maybe Red Devil can > enlighten me on that one. I read an article over the weekend that said Spurs hadn't beaten Utd in 21 PL games, 22 if you count todays game, so I make that 11 seasons ago, the scoreline was 3-1. I remember very clearly Spurs' last win at OT as I went with a Spurs' supporting friend who was visiting Mcr. We were standing in the corner of the Stretford End, yes it was that long ago, and despite telling him to keep schtum if Spurs scored, he let out a squeal of delight when Gary Lineker scored his only ever goal from outside the box...I like to think that lots of nervous throat clearing from yours truly prevented him from having his testicles 'surgically removed' and leaving OT with a permanent squeal. Every team has a blip, I'm sure Spurs will come good and claim 3rd place, 4th place wouldn't be a disaster, just means a couple of extra preliminary CL games...
  6. I thought the whole point of AVB's appointment was that he was a new broom to sweep away the deadwood, and that he would be given time to rebuild an aging squad...more short termism from RA, not that I'm complaining

  9. You should find out how the rear bathroom drainage connects into the main sewer. The bathroom may be at the back of the house, but the drainage run might be out to the front of the house, as it's quite common for the main sewer to run down the middle of a road, therefore you could in theory directly connect into the drainage run in the area of the front of the house, rather than trying to connect with the existing bathroom drainage. Ask a builder/plumber to investigate possibilites...
  10. The result was nothing to do with Parker being captain, infact he played very well, I thought it was more down to the inexperience of the back four. Come the Euros either Terry or Rio will have to partner one of the inexperienced centre halves, probably Cahill. Nothing wrong with Baines at left back, but Cole always gets the vote with his international/Champs League experience. Despite having a good season I'm not convinced by Richards at right back, it just doesn't look like his natural position, I think Walker/Jones will run him close. Hopefully there won't be the big build-up and over expectation come the Euros, instead they should be seen as a stepping stone for the younger players and the new manager to gain international big match experience leading up to 2014...which of course we'll win with our eyes closed ;-)
  11. Kat and Clio hatch a cunning plan... http://www.theprezzyshop.co.uk/camberwick_green/camberwick_green_images/cgs06.jpg ''Right Clio, you go into all the charity shops on Lordship Lane, act disgusted so they knock their prices down, then I'll then flog them on the EDF at extortionate prices, those gullible yuppies will buy any old tat...muwhahaha!!!

  15. Surely it comes down to context, let's take two 'random' stereotypical sexist examples... If you are an overworked, underpaid nurse, working in a stressful life or death environment, it might be a genuine enquiry into your own general health and wellbeing. However, if you inhabit the vacuous Mwah! Mwah! world of airkisses it's probably not worth the high resolution 480 x 360 pixel colour display screen it's written on...enough already

  18. *Bob*, I was very busy earlier and forgot to say thx for correcting my error, my GE post was to to reinforce what you said and clarify the maximum CGL wattage...

  20. Bring back bartering...I reckon the Hockney ticket is worth at least a goat and a dozen eggs
  21. Indeed...up to 42w...Whoopee! :)
  22. From the GE Lighting website... What compact fluorescent light bulb do I buy to replace an incandescent (regular) bulb? While a regular (incandescent) light bulb uses heat to produce light, a fluorescent bulb creates light using an entirely different method that is far more energy-efficient ? in fact, 4-6 times more efficient. This means that you can buy a 15-watt compact fluorescent bulb that produces the same amount of light as a 60-watt regular incandescent bulb. Don't worry about the math, though ? we make it easy for you to figure out which compact fluorescent bulb to buy by displaying the equivalent regular watts you're used to prominently on the package. Just look for the wattage you would normally buy in a regular bulb. In case you're curious, here are the watts needed by regular incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescent bulbs to produce the same amount of light. Standard Bulb - CFL Bulb 40w = 10w 60w = 13w-15w 75w = 20w 100w = 26w-29w 150w = 38w-42w 250w-300w = 55w Because the wattage of a CFL bulb is much lower than that of an incandescent, you can use higher wattage CFL giving you the equivalent light of a higher wattage incandescent. For example: If your fixture says not to exceed 60 watts, you can use a 15 watt CFL to get the same amount of light as an incandescent bulb or use up to a 42 watt CFL and increase the amount of light.
  23. The lamp has an E27 socket (screw-in) and came supplied with a 15w CFL... 7-9watt Equivalent to 40watt incandescent bulb 11-15watt Equivalent to 60watt incandescent bulb 18-20watt Equivalent to 75watt incandescent bulb 23-25watt Equivalent to 100watt incandescent bulb The maximum rating for the lamp is 60w, so a 15w CFL is tops for this particular model.

I said it was embossed in my earlier post Sue, then EP referred to it as flock, which it isn't, so I clarified by saying it was infact anaglypta. I didn't say anaglypta was the same as woodchip, I called it 'posh woodchip' because both were commonly used to cover up walls in poor condition in the 70's...
  25. It's actually a type of anaglypta wallpaper EP...posh woodchip! :) http://www.inspiremyhome.co.uk/Images/Products/Previews/RD750_2.jpg
