  1. Come on Eileen - Dexy's
  2. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you 'the next Thierry Henry' - David Bellion, not forgetting he's from Brazil so he must be brilliant - Kleberson, and finally my personal favourite - Ralph fooking Milne...at least we knew he was shiiit
  3. Bet is down, Roddick will be kicking himself not going 2-0 up, now where are those exchanges?..
  4. Looks like a full time job Tony, I can see why you get up so early!..
  5. Ok Tony, so in effect by 'laying' you become the bookie (in your example offering odds of 3/1), and therefore you are relying on another punter to come along and place their money with you. I don't use exchanges myself so forgive my ignorance, but is there any competition for these 'lay' odds, e.g could you be offering 4/1, and say Quids @ 3/1 amd Mick @ 11/4?..there must be someone at the bottom of this betting 'food chain' who is losing though?..
  6. how do you get a 'guaranteed profit' Tony?
  7. I'm sticking with Fed to win 3-0, you've got to go with your gut feeling and not be swayed by 'value', a win is a win as they say...
  8. Don't worry it probably contains the torso that belongs to the severed head found in Fellbrigg Rd. Keep an eye out for the limbs, will probably be in a golf club bag...
  9. It applies to anyone living north of Forest Hill... Evens a boy, 10/11 a girl, 50/1 twins and Quids does a runner...
  10. tend to use BetFred on LL, he's got such a trusting face... http://business.timesonline.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00197/fre185_197511a.jpg besides he's a Manc ;-)..
  11. Quids - 8/11 @ BetFred, can't see A-Rod getting a sniff unless he can take Fed to a tie break, he's got a brilliant record in tie-breaks, odds jump to 9/4 for Fed to win 3-1...hmmmm, decisions, decisions... PS congrats on Quidslette to be!..:)-D
  12. Signing Benzema - ?35+ Million Signing Owen and winding up the Scousers - priceless!
  13. Some Michael Owen related odds... Hills, who make Owen a 10-1 chance to be Premier League top scorer, reckon he will be only a bit-part player for United, presumably because his parts are in bits. He's 20-1 to start more than 25 Premier League games for United and maybe that's not a bad bet because he'll have Dimitar Berbatov to do all his running for him. It's just 11-2 that he starts fewer than six. He's 6-4 with Paddy Power to be handed the illustrious No.7 shirt and a very tasty 10-1 to be out injured for United's curtain-raiser against Birmingham next month.

  15. Wishful thinking again Matthew, Tevez has said he won't play for 'pool out of respect for the Utd fans, doesn't strike me as the sort of person to change his mind, and Owen moving to Utd is irrelevant. I'd say 'pool burned their bridges with Owen, Benitez had his chance to take him back. Why is Owen ending up at Utd such a big deal anyway, he was never liked that much by the 'pool fans in the first place, now if it had been Fowler that signed, than yes that would be a big deal. As Quids said this is a no-brainer for Utd and I think easily the best bit of transfer business this summer. Saw on Sky this morning that he had the best conversion rate of chances in the Prem last season of 29%, Tevez only got 11%, Torres 19%, and that was playing for a team that got relegated. He is going to get a shed load more chances to score at Utd, and won't be a 'super-sub', that's a 70's concept, it's now a squad game and he will start his fair share of games. There's also the added bonus of his experience and professionalism both on and off the field, he'll be a mentor to Welbeck and Macheda, and hopefully England will benefit if Owen is a success, perfect timing for next years World Cup. Welcome to Utd Michael! - 'Once a Red, always a Manc'... http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/46009000/jpg/_46009635_owenshirtc466.jpg
  16. Save your money boys, Tevez going to Citeh is a done deal... I only bet on sports that I'm interested in and like to think I have a bit of knowledge on, never really got into the BetFair culture of in-play betting, so I'm keeping it Old Skool with a big wedge going on Sea the Stars today, had Roddick to beat Murray and will re-invest on Fed to win in straight sets tomorrow, the guy is on another level...
  17. shouldn't that be 'Bruno's bum boy'...
  18. I'm plagued by cats, so following the nature/instinct mantra, I'll be investing in a cat chasing pooch... http://wildernessstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/mean-dog.jpg
  19. Franco's Fascists can negotiate their own TV rights deal, something which the English clubs can't do with Sky. I don't know the exact figure but they can raise something like an extra ?50-100 million. This summer will prove to be a watershed, and Quidsy may get his wish for the supposed 'big 4' to join a European league whereby each club individually negotiates their own TV deal, the downside to this is that a lot of the smaller clubs will go under as the value of the Sky deal will plummet as more people subscribe to watch the new European league...
  20. Ted Max Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Do you have any cricketer friends, MickMac? I hear he has a couple of French Fancies...
  21. Calm down Tony, and have another Bakewell slice...
  22. ...rest easy Matthew, it won't be Liverpool ;-); at this rate Utd might end up with Owen on a 'pay as you play'!
  23. Mick, start worrying when the Arctic Roll makes an appearance...
