  1. I saw some ducklings on the lake in PRpark, they are soooo cute and cheer up a dullish day.
  2. Beating it up is my guess, because when they teach them to fly they stop feeding the youngsters and perch a couple of yards away with a tasty morsel in their beak, whilst calling them constantly. Hunger and greed takes over from the fear of flying then suddenly they are all off together.
  3. Huguenot wrote:- HMG's AAA credit rating. I spoke to a fellow Russian passenger on a London bound flight involved in finance like the city boys we have here and he said we had a 'B' rating, although this was some years ago I did not realize our rating had improved.
  4. Tillie please take this thread by the scruff of the neck and put it back on track, it's gone all weird and unnecessary.
  5. Good for you aileking well spotted. If you do not inform the police nothing will be done, but now there is a possibility.
  6. The one in Barry rd had no queue when I went, but took several minutes going through the lists to find the house I inhabit. I immediately thought what a pain in the bum system if there is more than one person at a time. It took two of the people there to find the house listing. A rubbish voting system. Having placed my vote I then dropped it into a box which looked suspiciously like an office shredder..................
  7. I gave up promiscuity, and did it with the wife.
  8. Or ring up the British embassy there, I'm sure they are paid sufficiently to store such local knowledge!
  9. It sounds as if you are trying to do too much emc, calm down and get a good book, and when friends come, give them the number of a takeaway. Wear gloves to save your hands blistering and do LESS.
  10. I was almost always disappointed with nannies and au pairs, it seemed as if you were adopting someone's child, rather than getting in somebody to help lighten the load. I would find a senior-ish citizen probably more useful as they can cook, and generally do not block the sink, the lou, or the washing machine, in other words they have more life skills. The best Nanny we ever had was in her late thirties when she started, and mid forties when she finished. The youngsters we had were just a trial of one's patience.
  11. If the remains look like a red indian war bonnet, it's probably a sparrowhawk.
  12. Tillie Trotter wrote:- Listen, I'm not Bill Odie.... Damn right Tillie, you're far more interesting than that dull boorish oaf and ex-Goodie. Jimmyx2 I have seen crows attack pigeons and leave them flightless having broken a wing, but never seen a crow eat a pigeon
  13. Off topic, in the gossip column, the mind boggles.
  14. The picture quality is improved since they use computers hard drives to record on, its only on the tapes that they are crap mainly because they don't replace them frequently enough. CCTV does work when done correctly Loz.
  15. Nice calm picture you found there, charlies. Worth a thousand of anyone's words. Wouldn't give that hideous rabbit house room though. I do think you are the leading forumista of saying it graphically. Good for you!
  16. Each time they bail a country out, it becomes harder to bail out the next one. At some point they will be unable to bail out anyone.
  17. Kylie wrote:- it was my own stupid mistake but as a community i thought i would share what had happened so that it doesnt happen to anyone else Hardly a mistake, you were robbed by a thief, and even if caught nothing happens to them to dissuade them from repeating the practice. About time Primark improved their internal camera surveillance.
  18. It's all ok now that Greece has had a carpark full of euro's promised by the Financial Fuhrer of Schicklegruberland.
  19. red devil wrote:- Is the Eurasian Jay different from the British Jay? They have a very strong accent........you can hardly understand a squeek they're uttering. See Tillies post above.
  20. The blackbirds are nest building and they have pulled out most of my crop of radishes to help themselves to some component of the compost they're planted in, and to find the bits they want means digging up and casting aside what has already taken root. Thieving blackbirds should have their fingers chopped off.
  21. I have been watching the clouds lately, they're all coming from the north and it feels more like February.
  22. What are the differences Tillie? So we'll know when we see one or a pair............
  23. Wisdom is often an expensive commodity kylie, you have my sympathy. They should chop their fingers off that would stop further thefts.
  24. No. Bedding plants are traditionally planted from the first of June onwards because the frosts have finished by then.
  25. Jeremy wrote:- There was me thinking that you brought it up, Steve... and I was merely challenging your post. Thanks for clearing that one up. :)):)) Brilliant Jeremy.
