a mistake.

Thanks for that Loz.

I had a pair of greenfinches hanging on the peanut feeder today, never had them visit here before this so I feel rather honoured, and dead chuffed.

I could not vote for Brown and his clowns he's had his go and made an appalling mess of the economy, I cannot bare to see that hideous, flesh crawling, smile of his either. He looks a tired ageing slob. Lord Snooty is a no no, life just hasn't paid him out enough yet, he needs a few more disappointments to put some doubts and humanity into his public schoolboy demeanor. Clegg by a country mile, mainly because he hasn't dirtied his paws, yet. I will still expect him to change the voting system to make it more straight forward in future elections.

Jeremy wrote:- I don't understand what immigration has to do with the subject of this thread. Then why are you forever bringing it up Jeremy? Are those nasty immigrants responsible for the financial crisis? If they are bankers and politicians then the answer is yes. I am also confused about the "illegal immigrants who are allowed permanent tenure". Surely if they are allowed to be here then they are not illegal... right? Many were allowed tenure if they had been here for five years I believe. I am not sure if this is still the case.

From The Potting Shed - Gardening Tips For April

Karrie wrote:- I am not sure if earth would become rich in nutrients if left undisturbed for years, or vice versa. Left undisturbed earth becomes very acid, so when I dug up the grass to make a flower bed I sprinkled liberal amounts of lime, which apparantly changes the ph of the soil and aids plant growth. -
Karrie wrote:- I could do with more wild life that eats slugs and snails, so this year I will focus on attracting these I think. More toads then, but the blackbirds feed their young fledglings slugs although not enough to keep the garden free of them. This garden has been mine for 7 years, it looked like a 'piece of set-aside' initially. The costly thing is all the compost which has been dragged in through the years, and the plants and seeds are not exactly bargains either, but it feels like I have a pet that needs regular attention.

Spain will do what Spain chooses is my guess Loz.

My apologies admin you have been falsley maligned, I never expected this morning to read my previous post in it's entirety. Good for you.

cate you sound like a gourmet chef, rhubarb crisps, roasted with vanilla, never heard my mother mention the word vanilla unless it had ice cream hung on the end of it. I'm very impressed. reetpetite get a suitable size grobag and lie it across a window ledge, puncture it with a small cross where you are going to plant and you suddenly have your own pet garden. This for some strange reason makes you feel happier and more attached to your living accommodation. There seems to be more noise coming from the bird box, so I'll be surprised if they are still here after the bank holidays

A few months ago our economy seemed dependent upon the property market. Soon after it was financial services. I wonder what is the next frivolous answer our economy is based on from the clowns in charge. Until we become as competitive as the rest of the world we have no economy, we only have a precarious financial confidence and that is more by accident, than good management from the untried and untested political buffoons we are now expected to vote in to give us another battering. Whilst we encourage people to sit in front of screens rather than making products others wish to buy, we will only become poorer and weaker. The manufacturing base has been in decline for forty years and there is no way that is going to be kickstarted by any unproven elected body anytime soon. We need to match the hourly rates and production schedules of the tiger economies and adopt the same flexible work ethic and throw out things that get in the way of so doing e.g. political correctness prevents people from voicing the true picture of the state of play in industry and commerce. That shower of idiotic morons who hide behind health and safety which prevents work being achieved rather than being realistic when it comes to the workplace. The corrupt behaviour of this country of not giving the best person the job. The disgraceful and continued abuse of the welfare system. The appalling practice of giving council flats to newly arrived immigrants when the host nation are being refused. Reoffending criminals not being given hard labour to pay for their misdemeanors. Dole money which should be earned and not presented as a gift. Illegal immigrants who are allowed permanent tenure, when all immigration should be on a contracted period basis only. They should only be allowed to come and work, and when the work or their contract finishes then so should their tenure and they return to their homeland. I'm sure I could go on adding to this until I have depressed every thinking person who reads this forum, but all I have written here is commonsense and a few simple concepts which seem to have been lost in recent years. I guess admin will severely cut this post as they do when things which stings peoples sensibilities are written.

It was already open at 7am last Friday when I arrived.

If you feel strongly about something spoiling your vote seems a bit of a fart arse way of achieving anything. Take your complaint somewhere it can be heard and maybe acted upon in an adult fashion.

Perhaps KD as you have such high expectations you should run for office yourself.

The pair of great tits are working flat out at the moment to feed their soon to be fledglings. A couple of runner beans are through so they have to be relocated next to the canes. The radishes planted in the guttering are looking healthy and the tomato plants will have to be repotted too. The green gage purchased last year with a dozen fruits on is laden with baby fruits this year. The victoria plums are not trying too hard this year, they seem to have a good year and then two ordinary years. The apple trees the ridiculously named blenheim orange, and bramley, are laden with blossoms at the moment. My favourite fruit is the japanese wine berry and that is looking set for a bumper crop, goody goody. I have a williams pear (was here before I arrived) which are very late, and need to be taken inside for a week before they are soft and edible. Blackcurrants were given a good seeing to by my secateurs and are fruiting like there's no tomorrow, rather surprising as they are now only half the size of last year, but seem to be carrying twice the crop. I have rhubarb growing like a triffid, so stewed rhubarb is a frequent visitor to the table, you have to skin it to prevent it being too bitter it saves lots of extra sugar and when custard is added to the mix it's yummy.

There are several excellent gyms, and if you are anything like your post I would suggest you stay where you are as ED has far too many like you already.

I did not realise how much aircraft noise in ED before I purchased, if I had I may well have sought a quieter venue.

Have you labelled them?

Free swimming for the over 60's is new at Brockwell Lido isn't it, good for you.

I thought my moths had disappeared but only in the last few days have they started to move around, because the temperature has risen I suppose.

Sadly you never see the same doctor twice at DMC.

I second HonaloochieB's assessment, it looks rather virginal given your track record woofter, what with all that doggin in the manger 'n that!

Baby Peter was his parents/guardians responsibility, and they are the culprits. The rest is just politics in my opinion.
