March of the torreadores- Elephant and Castle tube
SteveT replied to womanofdulwich's topic in The Lounge
Me to brum, it leaves me wanting to avoid it. Having been inside I never want to return. Even the paint colour could turn a delicate stomach. -

No use of Peckham Rye Park before 08:00
SteveT replied to Selma's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have often wondered why parks are locked at all, no one can steal them and those intent on getting in will do so whether locked or not. It seems a pointless expense employing someone to open and lock useless gates. -
Our first one was a fussy eater and very light weight, she had a belly which stuck out rather like a starving third world baby and the doctor was rather worried she was not doing well. Eventually she started to eat as she became more active but she's never had a big appetite and never ate heartily like the second one. She ran for Southwark whilst at junior school so she couldn't be that sickly. Both are 5 8" and the youngest one now resents having a large appetite and having to maintain her curves is a pressure she would rather not have.

Put their foot between your finger and thumb and give it a tweak, just enough to make them want to jerk their foot away. They'll soon learn.

Willow trees grow fast and drink loads of water which may help your cause. -
Good for you Dodo 1 I agree with you completely, I pay mine so what makes them so special. Ignore the moronic wailings of the riff raff. Sorry KidKruger I usually side with your opinions but not this time, if they are cheating on their tax payments they should be stopped!

She also played the wife of Alan Clark of 'diaries' fame. I remember her catching the leaping toast before they hit the table, a sign she has excellent co-ordination, amongst her many other attributes.

ceribee wrote:- Where have all the green parrots gone though? I have hardly seen any this yr? My friend emailed from India to say he'd heard there was a council initiate to kill..cough..I mean 'cull' them. Is this true? I heard it on radio4 so it must be true. They are considered to be a pest and a danger to the local bird population as the parrakeets attack them. I saw three swoop low over the neighbours roof which had a dozen pigeons roosting but the pigeons all rose in the air when the parakeets passed overhead. creibee wrote:- the male fox 'appendage' is barbed so mating is very painful for the vixen That weird sound when foxes are mating is the vixen screaming "come on big boy you gonna have to do better than that to shut me up".

A really important part of our democratic process being spoilt by poor mechanics. It's probably about all you can expect from them, given their lack lustre performance as a government who do not bare close scrutiny to their many other, though far more important, misdemeanours.

What to do about all the dog pooh in Dulwich?
SteveT replied to TonyQuinn's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Some spiteful, moronic, dog owner has let their animal foul the studded paving at the crossing by the pedestrian lights. No wonder there is sooo much criticism of dog ownership. It seems to have increased pro rata with the popularity of the "dog whisperer", but the spiteful moronic variety of dog owners are not dealt with on that programme, it is assumed that every dog owner has an enriched life by keeping an animal but little or no mention of the many deviant dog owners. -
Someone should tell them they're the staple food of urban peregrines... Country ones too BNG according to my bird book.

120 quid for the four maps of constituencies not to be sold seperately, what a rip off, and they change them every other election too.

Bonjela??????? One of ours did the same when teething, and got great pain whilst trying to feed, but bonjela helped to subdue the pain and miseries.

You must have been looking rather formy legalbegal for the builders to bother, though after all it's spring innit. They would be friskier, more fun, and straighter dealing, than any sleezy, pizza smelling, lawyer that I've known or used. Current lawdogs excepted of course.

You might offer yourself as an intern and work a day a week for free for an interflora connected shop, if you turn out to be willing to do anything, and a reliable timekeeper, they will no doubt pay you the minimum wage rate within a few weeks of starting, if you prove to be a valuable asset to them.

I made three wooden troughs about 6ft long and 8inches (one gravel board) wide, and two gravel boards deep and planted the left and right hand with golden bamboo, it creates a screen which you can look out of but others cannot see in, (sometimes robins nest in it which is a bonus and an honour) but it's not as severe as a fence. The front one is around 8ft long and 16inches wide (two gravel boards) and made the same width, although the 8ft's are thicker. A membrane was inserted in each prior to filling them, you can use pond liner or blue polythene damp proof course. The front one gets planted out with pansies for the fun, and night scented stocks for the perfume and height. The gravel boards all come treated and I used 4 inch triangular fence rail in each corner to screw to. I used 2"x1" roof batons to place across the base to act as feet, these are also purchased as treated. They were filled in equal parts with John Innes No.2 for the nutrition and potting compost for it's water retaining properties. You will need a 200 box of 2" countersunk screws about 6mm thick, stainless or plated to avoid corrosion.
