Theres no need for profanity- I know exactly what it means being ethnic Scot I am a wage slave sadly. a cog in the wheel of capital. Im not actually as bitter as I come across, but do over egg the bile to wind up some of the victims who lurk on this boards ( and many others like it )

being a talking head on one of those lazily derivative and cheaply produced " why I loved school in the 1970's..." shite 3 hours drudge marathons does not count as being " famous"

heres a theme to get the colonials involved As an ex student of Merican Politics ( you know what I am on about Mockney Piers ) , I am still at a loss at the popularity of Obama - Skimmed thro his policies but still seem to think he is getting the Anti Clinton vote with a bit of novelty value / PR in the mix - I really cant see why he should be so apparently popular, given the vapid nauture of his agenda anyone ?

The middle classes are scared shitless of touching/speaking someone elses kids - scared of being tagged a "peedo" or reported to the filth or whatever - its a problem I have been on LL when a kid of about 2/3 was running down the road full pelt with no one around - everyone looked but no one got involved - it was only when I saw he was coming to a road that I took action the stop the blighter and find out what was going on - better to be classed a deviant predator sex case than see a kid knocked down - within seconds of me stopping him and talking to him, people who has been passersby begain to get involved - all middle class Women btw, which made me feel a bit better about getting involved in the first place. Turns out he had legged it from Somerfields and his mother was in a bad way thinking he had been dragged off etc - so we managed to get it sorted - if there had not been women around to see what I was doing, it could have been misinterpreted - maybe ? Conversely, one day at myatts fields, a boy of maybe 2 was lurching around the swings, seemingly trying to get onto them,, but not having much success- then lurching to the roundabout- which was populated by lively older kids - didnt seem to have anyone looking after him. I steered him away from the spinning roundabout by blocking his route and he wandered back over towards the swings area and began to grab them etc .this went on for about 5 minutes with me watching to make sure he didnt come to harm , until a scowly faced harridan of a parent came across and gave me a hot earful for not helping her child onto the swings , telling me he was only 18 months old and couldnt do it himslef - i think she was more pissed off that her long meandering tragic mindless mobile conversation was interrupted TBH. Im sure if I had helped him into the swings I would have been given a similar hot earful and probabalty lynched as a sex fiend where does looking our for someones safety turn into inappropriate behavior? You cant win in many cases

I wouldnt worry about a recession - not a bad un for the UK anyway - its cheap filler for the press off the abck of the housing prices boom - i prostiutte myself in the black heart of global capitalism and have resigned faith in the nature of the beast to sort things out .sadly.

maybe I exaggetre the case with the physical markup as Im a bit out of touch with Covent garden wholsale rates atm , but with fresh goods it has to be sold or is worthless within a very limited timescale - you can store tat for years though that maybe isnt very good business
-
he is a publicity seeking lickspittle parasite scumbag . dont listen to whatever sop he is coming out with. if you buy the shite that is sold on LL in the little tat shops, then you will push up rents/ leases Emporiums selling "gifts" and the the like have a higher margin that greengrocers etc and will move into the spaces vacated by departing low margin / high turnover of stock outlets If you want to keep the place "local" then dont patronise the cookwank/bonas/moos of this world. Its irrelevant whether they are chains or not in many ways - the "chain" terminology is somewhat of a distraction from the real problem the answer is in our own hands, whether we want to organise and do something about it is another matter. You can make your feelings felt and drive them out or you can keep popping in and fuilling their pockeys and your mantelpiece Still, we can bleat on boards and feel weve done our best

You can never earn enough money - initially, ist may seem huge if you double your salary, but you soon use us the extra cash as your tastes and aspirations change money is a very poor long term motivator for anyone with a brain better to be time rich than cash rich

if the "local businesses" want tone, then Im sure it will happen Im only a humble shy resident, so have no say in the matter

I dont have a personal opinion really on the BC - seriously - but posting inflammatory hyperbole that has little basis in fact or reality doesnt do anyone any good I know businesses need to make money, but if the business plan depends on such a specific development, then its not really ED's fault if the books dont balance - its a business problem and should people who may have a genuine concern - i.e. those who genuinely feel they may suffer if this development goes ahead - be expected to back down for the benefit of the business ? lets get this in perspective please - ED is primarily a residential, not a shopping area - it would be nice to get a balance, but people acualy do live here - its not Bluewater and nor should it be
-
Would the retailers pay for the extra hassle required for such a plan ? No.of course not. How would the residents of the streets that back onto NCR feel about their lives being disrupted and roads congested by an erstaz Spitalfields at the end of their road, with vans arriving at dawn at the weekends to set up their stalls with their overpriced jumble sale tat that seems to make up the majority of their stock - I would be less than happy to give up some of my weekend lie in for the benefit of a few stall holders Balls. This is an appalling suggestion

The filth are not bothered too much about C/C fraud these days unless there is a huge amou8nt of bleating - which there was with a certain ED garage. *maybe its best not to mention it by name ?*
