You may more familiar with the 14th of July as my birthday - I always think thats its lovely how a significant part of Europe takes the day of work just to throw me a party. :)-D -
Toilet roll must be put on the holder with the 'free' end facing front. Why you'd put it to the back confuses and upsets me :-S

You can just put them in the normal bin - even massive kitchen knives et al - can't be bothered to find the link on the Police website but that was the official advice when I checked last year.

If you enjoyed New Orleans, you'd love Vegas. (I have been to both!). Just make sure you stay mid strip for the best location and don't go in high summer when the pavements melt. Actually it probably way more bearable that N'orlens in summer.

Hey, I'd def be up for this, any tips and tricks for managing symptoms etc are always greatly appreciated. I'm currently seeing a specialist at City of London Migraine Clinic and am getting some help there but a touch of sympathy from other people in a similar position is also always appreciated!

William Rose on LL for meat, Moxons on LL for fish, the grocers up Northcross Lane where the actually serve you old-school style for fruit/veg and SMBS on LL for jars and stuff. I only find I use the supermarkets and ocado for things like flour and bottled water, heavy stuff basically plus shopping this way actually generally ends up cheaper then Sainsburys, especially the butcher and grocers. And I rarely emerge from the butchers with a new DVD, 3 lightbulbs just in case, a new casserole dish that was on offer and a 6 pack of tins of tuna that I didn't know I need! Oh at the bakers up towards Goose Green end of LL for squidgy bread. I love the posh stuff from other places on the lane but a ?4 loaf is only for special occassions!

If you don't owe any money, even if they would have a right to 'force entry' if you did, then this would be breaking and entering and theft.

I tend to ignore my Satnav when it wants to take me over Vauxhall bridge and I head on down through Battersea and over Chelsea Bridge, I don't know if it actually quicker but it feels it, and it avoids the C zone if thats an issue. I also go through the Rotherhithe Tunnel, through Isle of Dogs and various tunnels to the North Circular and then M11 when I head north although I am generally heading for Lincolnshire by this route so may not be quicker to Manchester. I have the same issue, travel north a lot but love this area and work in London Bridge, I fight with the need to move to North London quite often although I'm not going anywhere until house prices start to go up again so I have put the discussion on the back burner for now!

Crazy thought - maybe this should be an issue judged on a child by child, parent by parent, pub by pub, time of day by time of day basis and not with sweeping generalisations? I said it before, I'll say it again, crazy eh. :))

I had grommets when i was 4 and 6. When I was 4 they only put in 1 when they were supposed to do both so I had to have another op. When I was 6 they did both ears and they also took my adenoids out. Which was a shock to everyone including my parents so the after effects of my grommet op was nosebleeds. I'm sure I was a really rare case and in a totally different PCT in 1992 but please do check grommets are the only thing they are going to insert/remove and in both or one ear as previoulsy discussed. Otherwise from memory I was way less sick than the rest of the kids in my ward having their tonsils out and the 1st time I was in and out as a day patient. I don't mean this as a horror story at all, but advice to triple check everything. Good luck x

Went over this today - its crazy big and probably quite harmful to cars. Sureley it can't stay..does James Barber have anything to say on the subject?

70% of the carriage I use generally gets off at Queens Road Peckham, because we know what carriage to get in, the 1st two. You'll find 70% of the last 2 carriages getting off at South Bermondsey because they also know which carriages to get in to be nearest the station exit. Not quite sure which carriage you would get on for ED, perhaps differs with 4/6/8 carriage trains with the exit being more towards the middle of the platform but its not really suprising that the carriage the OP usually gets in spills out mostly at ED. There's probably a reason Southern stopped the service (ok maybe giving the train co a bit much credit for sensible planning but I like to hope). Would be quite curious to know what the destination make up od the rush hour trains is but observing from your 'usual' carriage is probably unfair. Woah, I clearly spend way too much time on the train!

Top tip - if anything in Fired Earth takes your fancy, take a day trip to the outskirts of Banbury in Oxfordshire and go to the factory outlet store. Still comparitivly expensive but a snip compared to full price and it is good quality stuff. I have a cupboard full of emulsion paint I picked up for ?1 a tin (2.5L). Any transport costs from here would easily be outwieghed with savings. :))

(Just reported on radio) Stabbing LL tonight.
Cedges replied to TopTree's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There were lots of flashing lights around Goose Green roundabout around 8.30-9.15 this eve. Also saw 1 ambulance car and 2 police cars parked outside EDT around 9.15 ish - 6 or so police talking to people outside the pub and near the roundabout who I assumed were witnesses to something by the gesturing in a they-went-that-way kind of manner. Obvioulsy something was up but i have to say it didn't strike me as a major incident although if something happened around ED Grove or Melbourne then there may well have been lots of activity round the corner that I didn't see. Fingers x'd that anyone involved recovers asap
