  1. Sweet! Did you buy the wireless handgrip and attach a GPS device to get the location data? Seeing as Nikon can include a GPS chipset into their flagship PAS for less than ?400, I was hoping Canon would include it in the 5D mark II, seeing as it now has an obscene 24 megapixel sensor, but no, they go for a rubbish HD movie mode instead. This reminded me of a photo thread seen on http://www.consolevania.com/ a while ago. Any gamers on this thread who havent been watching this show the last three years, hang your head in shame!
  2. Tat, the speciality of ED retailers :))
  3. Related linkage (including some heavy anorakage ^^ ) : http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/businessandpartners/buses/boroughreports/routes/performance-route-P13.pdf http://my.telegraph.co.uk/diseverything/blog/2008/06/29/the_games_afoot http://www.londonbusroutes.net/photos/P13.htm And this threads now on the first page Google throws up for P13 bus :))
  4. Didn't there used to be another bus going pretty much the same route, then onto Canary Wharf a few years ago? I kind of like the way the P13 takes you on a around the houses trip to Peckham...
  5. Really nice pic, wherever it was taken, any chance of Exif data? :)) Some huge news out today: No more teasers on the new 5D... http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news-16717-EOS+Canon+5D+Mark+II+HANDS+ON+with+Video+%26+Picture+Sample!!!.html http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news-16714-Live+From+Tokyo%3A+Canon+EOS+5D+Mark+II+Officially+Official!!!!!.html And great news for an alternative to the (awesome) LX3.. http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/news-16716-Live+From+Tokyo%3A+Canon+Unveils+the+SX10IS%2C+SD880IS%2C+%26+SD990IS+Digital+Cameras.html Read somewhere that Canon have also started announcing new lenses for the Eos range also. All this, and Panasonic unveiling their new 4/3rds system (Olympus soon to follow) its been a heck of a fortnight for camera freaks everywhere, shame about the ?!#@ economy here though eh? Maybe retailers will price a bit more competitively...
  6. Seems there's money to be made from curious minds.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7620875.stm
  7. Tis the curse of the whimsical wonder that is the P13 :))
  8. Here's a great one... http://lifehacker.com/5050046/anti+theft-lunch-bag-deters-sandwich-thieves
  9. the P13 route also has some of the most attractive female bus drivers in London :))
  10. Saw the police doing some stop and search outside the Bishop with two hoodies yesterday morning, no sign of a bmx though!
  11. Signs of life, here? Wicked! Nice shot there, Cumbria? Thought this might raise a smile... http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2008/09/15/pedestrian-street-art-by-peter-gibson/
  12. A sweet little (local-ish) story here: http://sleepycity.net/posts/115 Is this thread doomed to die? :'(
  13. Do I smell a chindogu thread in the making? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chind%C5%8Dgu
  14. CDonline, Trent appears to echo your sentiments, Slipknot dude too... :)) http://torrentfreak.com/nine-inch-nails-frontman-was-a-member-of-oink-071031/ http://torrentfreak.com/slipknot-frontman-says-record-labels-cause-piracy-080910/ And has released a fair bit of material for free lately, both online and leaving new material in usb thumb drives in club toilets etc too...
  15. Ta Steve, would have posted more - in the sea of articles about Chrome, there are a few worth reading, but held back on posting more as there seems little interest here about it. I suppose there may be more interest when iTunes 8 is launched next week (along with its super sexy, bought in visualiser).. :))
  16. The User Licence and terms were changed after several complaints, if you look into the story, Google claims that it used the licence for another of its products (whether this holds any water with you is a matter for you, and the conspiracy theorists to make your own mind up on). Related article: http://www.abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=5727509&page=1 The Register will probably have something on this soon, if they haven't already.
  17. 5D gets upgrade! http://www.canon.com/moon/en/index.html rumours abound whether its launch will be just after Photokine or next spring. Despite the apparent wealth around here, almost all the digital SLR's I see are budget Nikon or Canon jobs, have yet to see someone shooting a 5D or that new Nikon full frame jobby...
  18. Be great for black and white comics though eh? :)-D
  19. http://www.geekculture.com/joyoftech/joyarchives/1146.html http://ifyouseesomething.net/2008/09/03/google-releases-new-chrome-browser/ It looks very promising, but for someone like me who has, and uses several thousand bookmarks, the bookmark management is, as yet, useless, so back to Firefox, but in a year or so, Chrome could well be amazing. For me, for now, Google has this to say: http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/7848/55334208ze6.png
  20. Louisa, why not try shoplifting in Somerfield and see how you feel about being "pc"? :)-D
  21. Do you live on Worlingham road? In the middle there's a couple of houses where the idiots regularly have house parties and blare out crap music nobody else wants to listen to, and one of the houses, everyone congregates in the garden, drinks cheap crap wine and makes a point of talking really loud to show "everyone is having a great time" annoying the fook out of everyone around them, god I wish one of them falls asleep in their bed with a lit fag and the whole bally lot of them dies in flames!
  22. Wonderful little story: http://theplug.net/28/strangerphotos.htm Wonder if it would work around here? .... Nah, surely....not? Also, nice pictures of the smoke... http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2008/08/london_from_above_at_night.html
  23. Japan - Best country in the world, full stop!
  24. Potentially fun, or reinventing pen and paper? ::o
