    Not everyone in this area is rich and how long the journey to Peckham takes very much depends on where you live! I live near Sylvester rd so even if I had to queue for ages, it was easier than taking two buses each way to Peckham. You could also drive to Sylvester.

    When I looked it up, it said that Walworth Rd police station or Brixton were the places to drop presents off... There is nowhere in Sylvester rd to drop anything off these days..

    Kalamitikel, I hadn?t seen that before. It just seems odd to cause so much disruption and not do the whole thing. The bit of LL from the cinema to Woodfalls is not in great condition. They did that in my road a few years ago: just resurfaced half of it. The next day, a utility company dug part of the new surface up! I couldn?t believe my eyes! The second half of the road was redone a few years later!

    I assumed they were resurfacing the whole of LL but I noticed today that the section from the cinema to Woodfalls hasn?t been done.

    dbboy, I got caught out that way a couple of weeks ago. The 12 stopped for no obvious reason a couple of stops past the IWM. We all got on another bus which was on diversion for the reasons you state but we weren?t told anything so the bus stopped at St Thomas?s, got stuck in traffic on the Embankment and didn?t stop again until Piccadilly. It took an hour and 50 minutes to get from the IWM to Trafalgar Square!

    Wonder Woman, there is a thread about the Rye Lane work due to take 60 weeks!I think the buses on LL run between 6 pm and 7 am.

    I checked a board by Whateley rd last Friday and it said LL would be closed between the 27th and 29th from 7am.

    Everything I have posted from LL post office has arrived within the correct time limit.

    It?s really lovely of you to look after it. Would it be an idea to hand it into the cafe in the Park? It would get it out of your hair....

    Someone on the forum was trying to find a Burghaus rucksack containing baby clothes which had been stolen.

    There is a sign by traffic lights near Whateley rd saying road works from 27th to 29th November starting at 7am. That could be fun...

    Pellatt road has just had a man with a leaf blower followed by a leaf hoovering lorry!

    I took a 12 last week:it stopped at the stop just past the IWM and we were all told to get off. The bus we then got on stopped at St Thomas?s hospital, then went on diversion, got stuck in traffic but wouldn?t let us off . The next stop was Piccadilly. We were not warned about the diversion. I had got on the 12 at 10.45 and reached Trafalgar Square at 12.55!

    Rendellharris, that gives me hope. The parcel delivery driver from Sylvester rd knew where to leave parcels. I still haven?t quite understood why our posties have been redeployed rather than continuing their original walks but what do I know?

    As I?m in bed ill , I have booked a redelivery. The earliest available day for that is Saturday. Should I hold my breath?
