  1. Wil72, I absolutely agree with you.
  2. Brettonbull, there a DCC meeting at 7 o?clock on Tuesday. One of the issues being discusses is the CPZ. The meeting is at St John?s church by Goose Green. I went to the last meeting when the closure of Sylvester rd sorting officewas discussed.
  3. Zebedee Tring, I was going on what Zak says in his thread about how the process works.. As far as the white lines being replaced with extended double yellow goes, I have a neighbour with a dropped kerb. When the white line is replaced with double yellow lines, the double yellows will reach the new extended doubles on the corner. The extended double yellow lines had already removed 8 spaces and the replacement dy will do away with another two at least!
  4. I hope your son is alright..
  5. The Cabinet minister who will allegedly make the final decision is up to his eye balls in Brexit, HS2 etc. He may well have never been to or even heard of ED. I suspect the decision has already been made and yesterday?s shambolic meeting was to try and pretend we have a voice. The drop kerb white lines are going to be replaced with double yellows extended by two metres at each end. Yet the woman from the council insisted that it would create 40% more parking!
  6. The drop n session was a shambles, possibly deliberately. I was told that current white lines where the dropped curbs are will become double yellow lines. The member of staff I spoke insisted that the CPZ would create 40% more parking spaces! Business people are very worried about the impact on the area too.
  7. Are you in a position to take him to the vet and scanned for a microchip?
  8. Goldilocks, surely ?promoting? doesn?t mean compulsory, surely.
  9. I contacted Marlon and was told they just want volunteers to help children with their homework and neither Grove Vale nor Dulwich libraries were on the long list ofwhere they want the volunteers.
  10. How can they have ?looked at the data and have found that people don?t park all day and pay remotely? The only way to stop that would be for people to have to pay at machines. The extended double yellow lines seem to attract builders van and parents dropping off/collecting children from school. When CPR becomes a cycle quiet route and one side of the road no longer has parking, it will be even worse. Southwark won?t listen to our concerns because they never do. The local councillors have been very quiet on this matter. I have not seen any comments from them unless I have missed something. The point about the chiropractic clinic is a really valid one.
  11. Zak, I agree. I have filled in the consultation and have written my objections on it but also pointed out that they don?t pay any attention to the results of consultations..
  12. The consultation pack must have cost a fortune to produce and deliver! And West Peckham?
  13. Charging cars to park on LL and a CPZ can?t be good for local trade. And phone only payment for two hours means people can park all day and pay for the two hoursfrom wherever they were. Payment should be at a machine. Mind you, I don?t want a CPZ at all.
  14. I agree with Sally Eva re police. If it happens again, she should go into the first shop she sees..
  15. I took my son and his friends to the Imperial War Museum. They loved it..
  16. I saw a small black cat near the Dulwich sport centre on Crystal Palace road yesterday. It seemed lost.
  17. I don?t like the painting. I love the other paintings, particularly the one of the queen and the pirates..
  18. I have found several elastic bands in my hedge even on days when there has been no Post!
  19. Having not had post for over a week, I had 8 items today plus a parcel delivered separately. Yesterday, I got a parcel posted on the 48 hour option delivered at 4.40 yesterday a week after it was sent.
  20. 😸😸😸😸😸
  21. It would certainly be worth having a look. One of my neighbour?s missing cat was found in Harrow! Good luck..
  22. I have had post once since NYE and have not had the survey... 🤬🤬🤬
  23. If we stick to the subject of this thread, I agree with how annoying mobile phones are when used during live performances. My sister and I went to a West End show: 7 young women arrived late (with glasses of wine)so we had to stand to let them through. They then all used their phones to text and in one case ring people to let them know they were at the theatre. I was livid.
