"We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like 'I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive . . .' And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas. And a voice was screaming, 'Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?'"

  19. Keef's hinted at it but can I just say that the very male response of getting absoultely trolleyed and behaving badly does have its merits..

  23. Dancey wrong term agreed- it's actually a bit more trip=hoppyish I guess. Yeah, maybe. I'm going to see how long it lasts!
  24. Sean - it started with the dancey remix of Useless (K&D) which I've had for ages but just started listening to in a slightly obsessive way - like anytime I get my nano on - then I heard a couple of tracks recently on the radio...I'm now downloading a fair bit, it's a bit odd, it's not like I've never heard them before. Will it pass?
  25. Sean I agree with your sentiment. But, there is a compromise position and it's not like Wegner hasn't pulled out the cheque book before. Strikers are expensive but you need a proper old fashioned hitman (well me and MM thought so) and a half decent keeper - just those two would make a difference and not break the bank. Wegner's philosophy although basically sensible sometimes does look like 'not getting that penny's worth of tar' on principle. Agree with you about young players not coming through as hoped, especially Walcott.
