  1. Er, LadyM/Sniffy etc Mick was talking about wether we'd voted about Jah's new (or maybe not new) status as resident EDF sex symbol I think, not politics
  2. ...Tony Blair. I hang my head in shame that I actually voted for this self-serving piece of sh1te.
  3. I'm not sure if he actually made it to East Dulwich reading it

    Apple's iPad

I'm not a techie and it looks a bit big to me to say take on the bus so I thought it looks like a 'we've done it because we can' type thing that techies sometimes are guilty of BUT on reflection for pissing about at home on Facebook/The EDF/Doggers of east Dulwich and playing a bit of online poker I could see it's more flexible and comfortable than a laptop and more practical than a mobile for this sort of thing...so maybe...but not going to do it anytime soon and I'm not a Techieperson or a complete Applephile

  9. Well - what's wrong with that, he's still worshipped by the 'progressive left' as some sort of cuddly old progressive..I'd have been scared what have happened to this country - on several levels - if he'd ever got his hands on power. Idealism turns to dogma far too often, infact I spit on it - like your teacher who ruined the Romantic poets for you ;-). Incidentally, as mockney points out, it's all a bit arguing about semantics but in terms of governemnts, the 3 most Radical since the war Atlee's - nationalisation, the full welfare state, creation of NHS Wilson's - the great Social reforms of the 60s all progressive on abortion, death penalty, divorce and homosexuality Thatcher's - privatisation, freemarkets, reform of dinosaur Unions

  11. Poverty/or a crap job is an excuse for rudeness now then? What an insult to all those that do crap or poorly paid jobs politely and in good humour. This bloke is a rude fecker end of.
  12. David Lacey in the 80s on a certain football team...."On days like this, West Ham can reasonably be considered a gift from the East End to civilsation" after we beat Newcastle on sunny saturday playing superb football.... no surprise, we won bugger all that season Bill Shankly in the 70s - "West Ham - lovely football, lovely players...2 points to Liverpool" Pretty means nothing.

I spent my 40th Birthday out off my head (legally and illegally) generally surrounded by friends who were far younger than me - though the old guard dropped in earlier (pre clubbing) but had to (and I expect wanted to) return to babysitters et. thinking without any sadness "This is the way it's going to be for me"...seven years later I'm married with 3 kid under 5 and happily so... I'm with John Lennon.

  23. Love is all that's important. There's enough children being born into poverty/disesase/war/earthquake zones on one level or into completley disfunctional 'families' on another to worry about this couple whose child will at the least start its life being wanted and loved
  24. I still can't do it..
