  1. Just got in LL now backing up and side roads getting snowfilled - unless you need to get back I'd be tempted to have a few in town and then come back later when traffic less heavy and main roads probably running better but it's a risk if the snow continues.
  2. Are we allowed to tamper with our bats?
  3. oh gaaawwwd, not another thing Sean and my tastes agree on.....
  4. In a few spare bits of Christmas I managed Cormac McCarthy's - The Road. Maybe not the best thing to read when you've just become a dad again...or maybe it is? Gripping and impacttful, althpough a bit bleak!
  5. Veterans league=blokes who could and can really play in my experience...Quids=bloke who could just about hold his own in Sunday football lower divisions in the 1980s
  6. Come on Rosie, don't beat around the bush, we all know when you say 'hair type' you mean 'hair colour'.
  7. Me at 31 Jah...got fed up marking 18 year olds when I'd been up all night! But miss it - played in some great locations with the Greenwich & Lewisham League Peyps estate!!!, Belvedere!!!!...our home games were at Blackheath normally and I still go all misty eyed driving past the pitches on the A2
  8. Having to give up Sunday Football....and that was years ago
  9. I'm sure there was a lot more of it when I went to bed
  10. You've just moved here...not gonna set the CIA on you or anything.
  11. Oh so now I have a Word document of my favourite comments to C&P do I? Yup, I see. Is that your MO or something? Odd bloke all round you are. Basically you don't like what I say on here so insult me , haven't responded unless pushed on the other thread and accused me of lacking in original thought. You've accused me of 'Fabrication' for daring to challenge your slightly disingenous approach in the lounge and now of cutting and pasting my responses in here...I absolutely know who the fabricator is. Criticism and questioning of your work is not really your thing is it? What's your favourite place in SE22 by the way?
  12. The climate...is it really that chaotic? Small swings in average global temperature have had chaotic effects but the swings are still small in terms of the average. Linear models would still put the strong probabilty on being that global temperatures are going to rise and continue to do so whatever we do for a while and that will in have some serious effects on the planet. Most global temperature models suggest this. We have nothing else predictive really do we - but the more data we get the stronger the model becomes....and this winter won't make much difference to the trend data in all likelihood, if we get 10 years of temperature stability then perhaps we can all maybe relax a little and ...I'm not sure we will.
  13. Absolutely - lager louts or Cirrossis...I know where I stand (fall...hic)
  14. Still I'm not holding my breath for answers from a man like Justin (C&P from ???? is incapable of free thought website)
  15. Come on Hal, you know about predictive modelling. Assuming you trust the data - the longer time series and the more the data the better the model is likely to be..yes or No?

Nothing about the same argument
  17. Justin this is all my own work, I'm capable of free thought and putting some words together...once again what are you on? It's hardly a mega bit of english, I'm just saying what I think and I suspect regular posters will recognise it's pretty much in my own style??? Seriously, you really think I've been off to other websites to cut and paste my responses to you?? Really? I find that laughably odd...you are a weird mixture of delusional and paranoid.

  19. Heavily now..
  20. My questions about about commercial gain were just that and not answered until now...nothing fabricated. However, it appears my suspicions were as you say misplaced. Glad to hear that you'll give everything to charity. Perhaps if you'd read the rules of the forum before posting and answered us cynics a bit clearer, earlier or even at all in some cases we'd have not dared to challenge you in a way that clearly irks you so much..... Anyway, I won't be attending but probably see you around in a local restaurant or on LL hey?
  21. This was his first post, he'd just registered, he's trying to organise a seminar...my cynical nature suggests that even if this is done at cost they'll be some sales pressure re his practice/book, etc....if he comes out and quite categorically says that will not be the case I'll leave him alone...he hasn't yet. A reasonably practiced 'longtail' approach to selling anything (books included)on the internet is to have a standardish intro that is C&Pd into numerous forums with a link to your own website, don't need that many people to buy...the really cynical bit of me is even a bit suspicious that Justin's lives here , although he has posted on another thread so I'm just about giving him the benefit of the doubt. Come on - he should be crystal clear. And the Forum has clear sections for commercial offers.
  22. mais oui ...but France actually has a Cirrhosis death rate twice as high as ours.. Salut
  23. Nice on Mockers, congrats...more due soon!
  24. Of course people should bev allowed to highlight these issues but they should be clear about their commercial interest in this themselves and I'd argue that Justin has not...at all. And, threads by individuals aimed at personal commercial gain, however heartfelt their opinions, shouldn't be in the Lounge or Drawing room.
