They're just licensed bandits on commission to encourage revenue withdrawal from us awful motorists - I've got off two completley outrageous ones but not without a lot of threat to get there and having independent witnesses be decent enough to say they'd come to court and back me up. I've had 3 others one which was again a complete outrageous one (I was searching for a retail outlet in Peckham Rye that sold those vouchers before they had meters...mmm that was easy andthat took over 5 mins, infact 6 by which tme a bandit had earned his commission) and have also had one for my missus for 6 mins outside a nursery picking up my little girl, one was fair enough as I well overstayed (not deliberately) but no problem with that. To be clear, I've no problem with parking restrictions or enforcement but this has sadly just become outrageous profiteering...god help us if they try and make residential bits of SE22 restricted parking.
