  1. Have told my kids to waste as little money as possible on my demise, bury me in a balsa wood coffin or cremate me and put me on the compost heap at the bottom of the garden! Oh and merry xmas to you all!
  2. Oops feel a battering coming on for expressing my personal opinion, (heads for the hills to take cover from the barrage!!!)
  3. For whatever reason people take drugs, whether it be for personal social enjoyment, having had a hard life and needing to escape/forget, or whatever, at the end of the day there is enough information out there for people to know what they are getting into when they set off on this road, for every 5 people who take drugs because of their past life experiences there are 100 who have had the same experience but "choose" not to go down this road. I am not trying to say that everyone is the same and can deal with their pasts or cra* the same way either, but I am for people with medical conditions who take things like weed to alleviate their symptoms, but recreational usage or whatever it all boils down to the fact that it was their personal decision to start taking them. I for one personally believe it should not be legalised, (weed even though deemed a "soft" drug isn't ideal as prolonged use of this can create chemical imbalance in the brain and cause paranoia leading to schizophrenia etc. legalising drugs would then open up the floodgates to all of the drug curious out there, instead of being surrounded by the stigma which is currently attached to it I believe there should be much stricter control concerning the importing, dealing etc , but believe those already hooked and seeking help should be offered the highest quality of help possibly available.
  4. Yay, it worked!

  8. Oh well, I stand corrected then Keef
  9. Well if it is a hoax, then I am genuinely sorry for being concerned enough to put it on this forum to try and prevent people on here getting ripped off.
  10. No I cut and pasted it from an e-mail sent to us by our Senior Partner, so doubt it is a hoax, I assumed it happened to her though sounded very personal, and I had to take some things like proper identities out to protect people before I posted it on the forum, will ask if it actually happened to her, the likelihood of getting a copy of the same thing isn't rare though as we do have over 500 people working here and were all asked to forward it on to friends and colleagues, but just to put my curiosity at rest will ask anyways.
  11. Think it was the London Arena, excellent gig, pyrotechnics absolutely fantastic, guy riding round on his motorbike too, amazing concert full of energy, although they failed miserably to get a mosh pit going much to my daughter's disappointment. I have Bon Jovi dvds so will keep to them instead methinks, thanks for the advice Keef. I do admire Jon Bonjovi though has good morals not your average rock star and donates tons to charity without trying to get a pat on the back for it.
  12. Well, I just thought I'd let everyone know and then at least they will be aware of one of the many current scams going around in an attempt to rob us of our hard earned money (or hard earned credit even ha!).
  13. Please note this is NOT a joke This information is worth reading and extremely serious, By understanding how the VISA & MasterCard Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to protect yourself. Note, the callers do not ask for your card number; they already have it. One of my colleagues was called on Wednesday from 'VISA', and I was called on Thursday from 'Master Card'. The scam works like this: Caller: 'This is (name), and I'm calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My Badge number is 12460. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I'm calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name of bank). Did you purchase an Anti- Telemarketing Device for ?497.99 from a Marketing company based in Arizona?' When you say 'No', the caller continues with, 'Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges range from ?297 to ?497, just under the ?500 purchase pattern that flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?' You say 'yes'. The caller continues - 'I will be starting a Fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 1- 800 number listed on the back of your card (1- 800-VISA) and ask for Security.' You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you a 6 digit number. 'Do you need me to read it again?' Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works. The caller then says, 'I need to verify you are in possession of your card'. He'll ask you to 'turn your card over and look for some numbers'. There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security Numbers that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have the card. The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him. After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he'll say, 'That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your card. Do you have any other questions?' After you say No, the caller then thanks you and states, 'Don't hesitate to call back if you do, and hangs up. You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the Card number. But someone in our office decided to call back when they received a call on Wednesday, they called back within 20 minutes to ask a question. Is he glad he did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of ?497.99 was charged to the card. Long story - short - he made a real fraud report and closed the VISA account. What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card. Don't give it to them. Instead, tell them you'll call VISA or Master card directly for verification of their conversation. The real VISA told him that they will never ask for anything on the card as they already know the information since they issued the card! If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you're receiving a credit. However, by the time you get your statement you'll see charges for purchases you didn't make, and by then it's almost too late and/or more difficult to actually file a fraud report. What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, he got a call from a 'Jason Richardson of Master Card' with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA scam. This time he didn't let him finish. he hung up! He filed a police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said they are taking several of these reports daily! They also urged him to tell everybody he knows that this scam is happening. Please pass this on to all your family and friends. By informing each other, we can protect each other
  14. Would love to see Bon Jovi in concert, tickets are way too pricy though, did see Nicklebak who were amazing live couple years ago.
  15. Keef - Yeah, its a woman called Anette instead of Tarja leading the group now, she looks similar to her but does't do the operatic bit which did kind of make Nightwish stand out amongst rock groups. Check them both out on Youtube, Tarja vs Anette some good videos on there, wish I knew how to copy them would add to my message!
  16. "Road Rage" tour at the London Astoria, biggest mistake of my life ha! couldn't hear for 2 days afterwards, among others - Il Nino, Spineshank and Chimera played, went along to the Nighwish concert, (the one before their last gig as a group, they have now reformed with a new lead singer) but I really loved the mix of the amazing classical operatic voice of Tarja with wild heavy Rock/Metal, it really worked and I became a great fan. She has such a powerful brilliant voice she hardly needed a microphone and this was over the din of wild rock. Was impressed.

    a joke

Two Americans on a business trip to Japan, during their trip they are treated to an evening out with wine, music and beautiful women. One of the guyz gets off with a lady of the night and during the throes of passion she yells "sangwah, sangwah!", wow, I have to remember that one, thinks the American to himself, because the next day they are invited with the big bosses for a few rounds of golf. Well the golf match gets under way, and the Chairman pots a hole in one, "Oh Sangwa, sangwah" the american pipes up chuffed he has got the chance to impress his host, to which the Japanese Chairman replies "Wot do you mean broody wrong hole?"

  19. Keef wrote:- Ironic thing was that she spent 5 years being the most obsessively jealous person in the world, and convinced I'd cheat on her. The reason that cheaters always accuse, question or doubt the fidelity of their innocent partners is that they are judging them on how they themselves are in fact behaving. An overly obssessive or jealous lover may themselves be up to more than you bargained for. I have had various friends who have been cheated on and they always say their husbands/boyfriends always accused THEM of chatting up other people/fancying other people, and in the worse cases actually having affairs when in fact they are doing it themselves. One guy was so bad he used to intimately sniff my friend whenever she cam back in from a night out with friends, (although if she was bad am sure she would have sorted herself out in the hygiene dept. before she got home doh!) yet he was the one who had been hiding an affair for 2 years!
  20. Wow Spadetown, am seriously impressed, I would have placed (intraveneously taken rather than smoked) heroin as one of the highest killer of all drugs, learn something new every day didn't think Coccaine was up there at all.
