  3. Thats who i meant.. But i see your point tt
  4. "now that is a scruffy plate of food. . . But it tastes great. Good on ya" cheers greg
  5. Is that klaus i met outside drum yesterday? Or a different klaus
  6. Web n walk is great. But not suited to big posts.. Twas a very good night tho.. Andrew was very busy with that lens
  7. Another drink-up, another hangover.. but if I must be hungover then this is the weather to do it. Shame I have to trek up to North London mind Good to see every one both new and old. Err not old, I mean "established".. I always wonder what the newbies must make of us. Think some recruiting was done as well...
  8. Indeed - have a good evening down the South Bank - it's a good one for it
  9. Mark All of them good guidelines - I have to say the one that bothers me more than any is: Before creating a new topic thread, search to see if a similar topic already exists Not the rule, just people not following it. I know it's human nature and I know it happens on every forum ever but still... Can you have it as a sticky post at the top of each section?
  10. Bad PP But see you there BB
  11. They were due to close on 19th May so if they are still open I'm surprised
  12. come on PP, you know you want to
  13. I have been to a couple already but still don't feel au fait enough. I do know I would rather not buy from Threshers though Do G&B team still read this? Maybe they could recommend a couple to start with
  14. would we not get better mileage from the wines if we all block-booked a wine-tasting evening at G&B first?
  15. I used to live in Ilford. Come to think of it I would have payed for a Harvester back then..
  16. Corporate-run pubs - horrible horrible places. And Harvester likes to give the impressionn it's a nice, relatively cheap place to take a family for a meal. It's as expensive as Franklins for (as Louisa said) a bleedin horrible steak I might open up a little shebeen in the woods for us forumites..
  17. Easy Nero - I was being playful! (semi)
  18. Mr Ant - you doth provide enough memory-stimulation http://www.bonkersfest.com/
  19. I seem to have carpet-bombed several threads this evening at approx 9pm!!
  20. Why, Tillie, I'm blushing But more seriously, how was the meal?
  21. Nero As a suave and intelligent homme it shouldn't matter to you if it was packaged in leaves rolled by naked virgins - it's a ping-meal! It has had industrial-levels of energy consumption, additives, salt and lord-knows-what already added to it's transported across the globe ass, not to mention dubious content (the sausages in this meal contain MINIMUM 5% meat (sub bracket - meat from more than one EU country)) You need to say summat here: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,22444
  22. Didn't notice any snarl-ups until Camby Green when it all got horribly ugly. No incidents, just gridlock and unhappy people Did give me time to check out some posters where I got a vague idea that Jo Brand is doing some human cannonball thing on the green soon? Or maybe I daydreamt it?
  23. Nero - you had me perplexed. Where did you get the Hunter & Payne reference from??
  24. Shame on you DM for not attending the G&B forum wine tasting And for having a preference for white above red. (still, better than the choice offered in Roddy Doyles' The Van - "Black or Blue?") But count me in on the wine-reviewing business. The independents do promotions on certain wines anyway each week - do we need to ask for a discount? Better to be offered than ask surely?
  25. How excellent does this place and the owners sound? I live 10 minutes away and I'm tempted to book Thanks Mark for digging and thanks hari for bringing it up. I had read the article when it was published but had put it to back of my mind..
