  1. As far as I am aware, it is not mandatory to wear a mask when in the open air but must adhere to social distancing.
  2. if you are a member of a political party you will be sent information about the Assembly members. You do not vote by ward but by borough if I remember correctly.Caroline Pidgeon is one of the members representing Southwark and has done for a number of years. She is a Lib Dem and also lives in ED.
  3. I saw a private dermatologist in 2019 as I had severe reaction to some medical dressing which resulted in months of treatment. He sent me to Harley Street cannot remember the number. It was around ?200 which was paid for by medical insurance.
  4. Contact the Dulwich Hill SN Police Team - they spent alot of time up there during the summer.
  5. Each ward and ward Councillors will set their own meeting dates. If I remember from when the change over from Community Councils was made, they spoke about having ward meetings 3/4 times a year then one large meeting for all Dulwich Wards. I do not know whether Fitzroy is the officer for the other Dulwich Wards - it may be a good idea to give him a ring to check if any other meetings in the pipeline. He is a very helpful guy having known him for many years.
  6. I have managed to copy the programme/agenda for the evening. Anyone in the Dulwich Hill ward can join in on zoom, please see previous post for ID/password etc.
  7. As far as I can see from the programme, it is to discuss existing schemes.
  8. My garage recommended the one in Dartmouth Road by Sydenham Girls School. They did a good job sorting out by boot for me at a very reasonable price.
  9. Husband has stopped going to the park for his daily exercise as too many people there, he finds it quieter to walk around the streets
  10. I think Environmental Health Officers are covering breaches in Covid guidelines may be worth a call.

  12. Post yesterday was a Christmas card sent from Beckenham early December. A letter confirming receipt of a cheque donation dated 3/12/20, 2 letters from DWP dated 30/11/20 asking for urgent contact and repayment of money overpaid.
  13. Please see my previous message Everyone after their jab had to make a further booking for the follow up jab. After the jab we were directed to the receptionist who made the next booking and wrote it down on the card given.
  14. As far as I can recall from doing a H & S course at work years ago is that flat doors should be fire doors. Communal areas be kept clear to enable evacuation, each flat and communal areas to have smoke detectors. On upper floors, the windows need to be opened as a fire escape route. When I had new windows fitted upstairs, the company informed me that all of them had to open outwards as this was new regulations. Maybe someone on the EDF will have more information.

  16. Without being brutal - something lost in October is unlikely to be found. Only chance is that someone picked it up and is using it themselves. Worse scenario is that road sweeper has picked it up or someone placed it in a dustbin. Is it the bag or it's contents you are worried about?
  17. Registered at The Gardens who phoned me on Monday and booked me in at TJC for today - am in the 70-75 age group.
  18. I had my jab at TJ centre today. I was called by my GP surgery on Monday and given a time of 12.35 to be at TJC. Got there about 12.25 and joined queue to book in. Was given a card plus a number. When your number was called, you went up to the 1st floor and seen by someone who asked various questions and booked you in again on the computer. Then taken to the waiting area until your number was called out. Very efficient at all stages - with all the waiting was out around 2 pm. Long initial wait at first booking in as a lady in front was not listed and had just turned up. She was asked to sit aside whilst everyone else was processed. Later saw the same lady upstairs and gather from discussion that she thought the downstairs reception was for her GP. Everyone after their jab had to make a further booking for the follow up jab.
  19. Rarely use LL Co op as I find products very pricey. Did go in before Xmas as could not be bothered to queue for Marks. I just wanted a couple of things to tide me over. Found aisles blocked with stuff waiting to go onto shelves, people leaving baskets on the floor whilst they browsed further down the aisle (trip hazard) Some fruit looking past it's use by date. It served my purpose that day but how anyone could afford to do their weekly shop there!
  20. No post received this week.
  21. Since the start of Covid last year the arrangement my surgery has is that I just take a copy of my prescription to my pharmacy (Sadlers LL) and they will issue medication. My GP normally emails my prescription over to the pharmacy so they have a record. Recently there was a suggestion that I notify the pharmacy around the 22nd of the month that I need medication, give it a few days then collect. From what I gather most GPs are doing the same thing. Different if you have frequent changes of medication.
  22. A friend who is around 80 went for her jab at Tessa Jowell Centre on Monday = arranged by Burbage Road surgery.
  23. In the days of the Community Councils which in ED were usually very well attended, there would have been good debates/discussions etc. With the change to ward based meetings - I found that attendance by local residents was poor one meeting I went to for Dulwich Hill only had about 8/10 people. Of course Covid has stopped all meetings - not everyone has a computer or able to go on zoom yet Southwark Council has decreed that they will only communicate on line. Are our Councillors hiding behind Covid to pass contentious policies?
  24. Years ago most of us oldies were offered the pneumonia jab as well as the flu jab. In my previous job as a key worker, we were encouraged to have an annual flu jab. To make things easier - the clinic was held on the 2nd floor of our building so we did not have the excuse of having to travel. Even if the vaccination is not 100% it gives you a degree of protection.
  25. I heard last week that NHS workers did not want a repeat of the clap due to the new virus being more contagious.
