  1. Moos

    Quiet room...

All is still. Enter Moos, singing uncharacteristically tunelessly:- "All By Mysssssssssssseeee-elf. Don't wanna be. All By Myseeeeeeeeeeeelff. AnyMore. All By Myseeeee-ee-eelf. Don't wanna be! All BY MYYYYY-SELF. ANY MOOOOOOOOORE!!!" (etc.)
  2. Why am I Davina?
  3. For years, I said 'epitohm' instead of epitomee and no-one corrected me. Swiney swines.
  4. You swines, you.
  5. Can't do either 19th or 26th... I know I'm not a big drinker, so shouldn't really have a vote, but could we swing it back towards August?
  6. Oh Sean, you HAVE let yourself down! (only kidding, m'dear)
  7. You see, this thread (especially mightyroar and Citizen) has made me laugh out loud, which is more than BB has ever managed to do.
  8. He ran awful quick
  9. Me too, me too - how marvellously exciting it would be if he were to move here! (duh, like that's going to happen)
  10. I don't get what it is about hot weather that makes office workers entirely abandon any sense of how to dress. Men - ignore the change in temperature and remain in winter suits, double-cuffed shirts, etc. Result = sweaty and red-faced. Women - dive into spaghetti-strap tops and cotton skirts. Er - you're not actually on holiday, which presumably is why you haven't had time to prep your legs for the exposure they're currently undergoing... You wouldn't see this in Italy or Australia, where they understand the concept of wearing clothes appropriate to hot weather that don't reveal bits of skin that really should be kept for the beach. Tch.
  11. Ha, we have lured Franki out of Wanted, Blahblah and Recommendations and into the Lounge! Addiction to the Forum and a period of less-than-ideal concentration at work may follow... ah ha ha ha ha haaaa! (I actually write my evil laughter down, it's more nefarious that way, if perhaps somewhat pernickety) I would vote for 11th.
  12. ...Big Brother AT ALL, Mockers. Whenever I have watched an episode it was just mind-numbingly dull 'discussions' involving people not listening to each other. The only interesting stuff comes from the conflict, and then you get the uncomfortable feeling of colluding in the psychological manipulation of clearly unstable fame nuts. Bleugh.
  13. Clearly some border piracy is called for..
  14. Funny how they never calculate working past normal hours as a boon to the economy (6) - pretty standard for many people.
  15. The mind of Kofi, the drinking ability of Peter? Oh, pussycat....
  16. PGC, are we entitled?
  17. Fickle creature
  18. ..but not particularly asking you to change his ways, no no - this is far more superficial, and in every sense of the word. Prompted by a conversation in the Vale on Friday, I'd like to ask:- Who do you think you look like? Who would you like to look like? Real or fictional, past or present, abstract or simply odd - I look forward to everyone's creative input! I'll start - people have said I look like Helen Hunt (it's the nose) but I'd rather look like Grace Kelly!
  19. The socks thing is a necessary sacrifice to the household gods; should they ever reject your sacrificial sock and send you back full pairs, that is a very, very bad sign and you should prostrate yourself at the hearth and pray for forgiveness. That's that one cleared up. Surprised no-one knew. Can I play the Alliteration (thanks Brendan) card on Mockney's question and suggest borage? Mr. Moos and I are unable to think of questions to which we do not know the answer, does this mean that we are omniscient or forgetful?
  20. Yay, good night! Particularly enjoyed chatting sensibly with Citizen, less sensibly with Franki, even less sensibly with Annaj and BN5, not at all sensibly with Michael Pickyourownwithus, gibbering at Mockers, giggling with Asset, screeching at Sean Mac and last but not at all least talking, er, handwidth :-$ with Chav and Hibbs.
  21. Get Stuffed is scary. I swear to God they had a small hippo once. And even worse: a giraffe's head and neck. Who would want that!?!

    Ask Admin

Am I allowed to reply to my own post in the WO&R section? I posted it yesterday and was hoping to bump it today, I thought once a day might be permissable.
  23. I know I've said this before (and on this thread) but it was a while ago now, and the recent tone of reports is pretty much that people having babies at King's felt that they didn't get the treatment they would have wanted, so... I had the Moosling in June '07 (I think same time CambyOz had her Ozling) and we thought they were fantastic. From the 3 midwives who walked us through the very long labour to the theatre team who eventually go the job done and the 3 days of aftercare from yet more midwives, they were kind, professional and competent. Clearly very busy, but really made time for patients. We were and are incredibly grateful, and if I ever lose my mind and have another one, we'll be back. Of course one person's report does not a system make, but thought it was worth my two-pennorth. If, however, you're sick of reading this from me, do say..
  24. Ah... summer is here. It's however-many-weeks of all "4" channels being avoided in our house. But enjoy!
