Anyone know which pubs are showing this match tonight? It's on ITV but it's much more fun in the pub. I know the Herne is showing it, but any others?

Party noise Friday night/Sunday morning

My 50th birthday party a few weeks ago went on till 3am - young people don't know how to party anymore -
What's the quickest (and least changes) way to get to Brighton in the evening from any of the local stations? I've been on the trainline website and it's not that helpful. Forest Hill to Brighton seems the quickest but have to change twice. Isn't there anywhere that goes straight to East Croydon?

Yep 2nd episode was definitely the weakest but loved last night's and the ending was great

What ED pubs are NOT showing the football?
lizzie replied to PeckhamRose's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Mag IS showing the footie but only on one screen at the end on the left (hurrah but sorry it's my local and I like footie) but if you sit down the other end you wouldn't notice it -
Just in case you were thinking of voting tory - you must watch this!

Is East Dulwich up for a Photo / Arts festival?
lizzie replied to darrelkmorris's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
eater81 - if you don't want to be part of the East Dulwich Festival then just avoid it, easily done. But why post such puerile comments? There's a body of people locally who are into it and who put a huge amount of time and effort into it. And a lot of people do enjoy it so what's the problem. Sorry if I'm ranting but it's like people who complain about tv programmes - if you don't like it, change the channel. No-one's forcing you to get involved -
Does anyone know of any cheapish hotels in Brighton that don't insist on a 2 night stay at weekends? I'm going down for a party on Saturday 17th and want to have a drink or two so thought it better to stay over. But I'm finding it really difficult to find anywhere to stay

Why I was pissed off before was that because of the snow my section of CPR was a no parking zone for weeks and weeks. I was in the middle of building work and needed to get a skip in order for the builders to carry on. So effectively I lost a month when they went off to another job. I was also pissed off because I think making the pavements look pretty comes pretty far down my priorities on what council tax should be spent on.
-
It's just that having had them spend weeks, nay months, rebuilding the pavements on CPR so we couldn't (a) park or (b) walk on the pavement it is a tad annoying that just as the pavement work has finished that they start again at the bottom. I'm a cyclist so I'm well aware what the road surface is like and CPR is not particularly bad compared to other roads locally. Guess there's a pot of money in some budget somewhere that can't be used for something sensible that's got to be spent before the end of the financial year.

I noticed it yesterday on Lordship Lane and Pellatt Road by the Mag. Very strange

I just had a look at loveandfriends.com and there are some very cute guys on it...... Incidentally I was in the Swan a week last Saturday, the night Ireland won at rugby, and the place was heaving with very drunk young Irish guys. If that's the sort of thing that ticks your boxes, great, but nah, not for me!

I had it done about 3 years ago at Moorfields - certainly not the cheapest place but I thought they were fantastic. It honestly didn't hurt and it was definitely the best thing I've ever done

Is East Dulwich up for a Photo / Arts festival?
lizzie replied to darrelkmorris's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There was a photography festival a few years ago - I think they called themselves Buffalo or something like that. It was quite fun - each photographer exhibited in places that don't normally show photography like bars and shops and then each photographer had a picture at Liquorish where the opening was. But it never happened again which was a shame. Yes there are oodles of creatives in SE22 -
The TFL website is shite

Adventure Bar is fun at weekends but a young crowd - or Liquorish

Can anyone recommend a good (but cheap) restaurant near Euston station or a pub/bar that does good food? I'm meeting a friend there tomorrow evening and neither of us know the area. So any ideas please!!!
