FWIW - I had the same query last week, my GP said paracetamol or ibuprofen are absolutely fine on their own but to avoid cold remedies like lemsip etc because of all the other stuff in them. I usually make (whiskey free!) hot toddies and dissolve the paracetamol in them. Breastfeeding when ill is so exhausting so hope you get well soon.
