If you go Suffolk direction instead gladwins farm is ideal, animals to feed, play barn with loads of toys to entertain lo, swimming pool on site. We have just been for 8 days and it was great.

It really depends on the size of him. From a weight perspective he should be ok in the maxi cosi you have as long as under 13kg. The next stage car seats start at 9kg. It is safer for him to be rear facing, for bth his stage 0 and stage 1 seat however practicalities often prohibit this in a stage 1 seat. From what you have described it sounds as though he should be ok, ie head not at the top. I've just had to move my long 9mo into a forward facing seat. Incidentally he hated his rear facing seat, he hates his forward facing one too... I have a spare stage 1 seat you can borrow if needed.

You're obviously cross with me, I offered an opinion and to lend you a seat an offer that still stands, take it or leave it, it was meant with the best intentions.

Although sowe taxis can legally take you in the back I would only take this risk if there was no other choice. You know you are expecting a baby, make provision for this, borrow one, buy one whatever (I'd happily loan you one of ours...)

a carseat in many ways feels like part of the core equipment to me anyway... I've treated people who have been unrestrained in the back of taxis and even at low impact can suffer quite debilitating effects. It's too much of a risk for me with the most precious thing you've ever held so tiny and fragile...

Tuesday class was cancelled due to sickness which they failed to communicate.

I think the ability to get out Is really child dependent, my first couldn't get out of the bumbo at all, my second is an effective vaulter despite the moulded shape. It's a risk it can and does happen and the restraint strap may help with this problem. I think putting them on high surfaces is a massive risk having seen how easily some children can get out of them.

We've stayed at gladwins farm in Suffolk for a long weekend and its lovely, would suit your 2yo well if anything like ours, can feed the goats in the morning, collect fresh eggs, swimming pool on site, outdoor and indoor play things on site, can organise babysitting for you or they have a range of cook meals if you want an easy night in.couple of good local pubs and restaurants and within easy reach of duxford and Colchester zoo for more anytime activities. We are planing on going back in January.

Anybody have any recommendations on hypnotherapists for smoking cessation?

Brio and hot wheels appear to be consistent features in the houses we visit. Really like the slowtoymovement bits too..

Old bugaboo footmuff doesn't fit the bee plus without cutting and the arm straps arent inthe right place etc, that's the problems we have. Think the new footmuff is universal but not 100% sure...

Have seen Simon at the vale practice with good effect for our lo

My buggy snuggles drive me insane, they slide about all over and don't make life easy at all, have a bugaboo which I use on my cameleon and its great, the strap that goes under the seat unit keeps everything in place very well and locating shoulder straps etc is easy. Don't know whether it fits so well on the bee as I have an older

bugaboo bee footmuff which doesn't go under the seat unit and it still slides about a bit. If I had the energy I would get the sewing machine out to adjust them... I didn't buy a new bugaboo one with my first and always regretted it, luckily managed to get mine in a sale for about ?65 which was a little more palatable... Really like the kaiser ones but they're even more expensive...

First was induction as past dates, with assisted delivery, scbu and stay for a few days post delivery. Second spontaneous labour on due date, arrived at hospital at 7:30 examined and 5cm at 8pm, delivered by 8:30 with gas and air. Much much more positive!

My sil had some dungarees made for our lo via three yellow ducks, they have a Facebook page, might work??

We have just had a lovely weekend in gladwins farm, Suffolk which worked very well with our 2yo and 5mo. We are thinking of doing another farmstay in January for a week this time and keen for other recommendations. Keen not to venture as far as Cornwall (so bosinver not an option on this occasion) but otherwise pretty flexible. Anyone have any other recommendations?

Have to disagree about Harold George, my one and only experience there resulted in me requesting they reo my fringe twice only to do it myself at home as there were bits two inches longer than the rest.... Awful experience, I am however very funny about hairdressers...

Just seen a sign on the door at st faiths saying Friday morning bumps and babes will not run any more, feeling irrationally upset, does anyone know what has happened or if there is a plan for it to move location (she says hopefully...)?

Would like to offer formal thanks to Alice for the immense support she has provided to me during my time off with my 2. I know many others will feel the same.

We have a mirror and a mobile which he might be interested in for a couple of minutes but that's all, we try to travel around nap times but he's a rubbish daytime sleeper generally (3 x 20 min naps in the day might be all he manages) will encourage dp to sit in the back, I'm sure he will e delighted, we have a 23mo as well!

Has anyone found effect with different carseats? We have a cabriofix on an easy fix base so can't change the angle which we could do with the family fix base we had for ds1.

We feel your pain at the moment, we have a 23 mo whis taking longer and longer to get to sleep at the weekends for naps, our current strategy is to do something really physical in the morning, we are out from 8am and then to a park, last weekend to battersea zoo, then home in the car where he is dropping off and transferring to bed, he's still sleeping for nearly 2 hours without it affecting nighttime sleep so I think he still needs it... No real advice but its a tricky phase.

Our son (4mo) hates his car seat, today we travelled back from Norfolk and he slept for the first 30 or so mins (having been transferred to seat asleep) then woke and got himself into quite a frenzy, he cried along the a10 and all the way down the m11 until stansted services about 50minutes. Very distressing for all involved, got him out of the car at stansted and he's fine, not hungry, not dirty, no wind, just wanted a cuddle...repeated the whole cycle again when we got back in the car. We are driving to France on Saturday and starting to feel a bit desperate, any experience with this and anything that helped?
