Yes it is. In a sort of "I thought one vote wouldn't make a difference and it was raining" kind of a way. *sigh*

So. The whopping 67% of you who didn't turn out to vote on Thursday? Not at word NOT A WORD of moaning from you about the state of the nation until the next elections please. Now go to your rooms and think about what you've done.

I'm writing a short article about supernatural experiences and ghosts and the like. I might use some of these stories in the article, but it'll only be the stories of the people I know and I won't name or identify you. Shout if that's not ok! And don't get excited, it's not for a famous publication or anything. Chances are you'll never see or hear of it again....!

My NCT group was just a local one, not specially organised for any reason other then NCT. It had a same sex couple and no one was bothered about it. They integrated into the group just like anyone else. It would be nice to think that your friends could turn up to any NCT group and be treated like any other couple - about time we got over girls who like girls and boys who like boys and got on with the business of raising kids well.

I contacted Oakfield prep to ask if they had any spaces in Year 2. They said they did. I said I was interested to come and see the school, and mentioned my child has mild additional needs. They declined us without me being allowed to visit the school and without them meeting my child on the basis they couldn't provide proper support. I queried how they could know what support was required. They stuck with their decision. Make of that what you will. In the interests of balance, I have met with this attitude from almost every independent school I have approached. [Edited to correct dreadful spelling and grammar!]

Blimey. I had no idea. My mother was a Brown Owl. Suspect she kept this from me deliberately! Edited to say, does anyone have a phone number for them? Can't seem to find one on the internet and would like to call them first rather than just turn up.

Still wondering if anyone home schools young children in the area, are there any support groups or groups that meet up and do this around SE London?

Sorry, behind the times here clearly, but Beavers is for boys and girls? From what age? And what happens next, do they become cubs and then scouts? Can girls be scouts now?!

Oh gigsy, you know how I love you, but I have to say I do like texting. I just don't have time for phone calls. If I want that kinda chatter I'll drag you out for drinkies and have a proper face to face gossip. Which I will have arranged by text.
