And how much did that all cost? Maybe the parents should get the bill! -
23rd March - ?Put It To The People March? - central London
uncleglen replied to IlonaM's topic in The Lounge
On 23rd June 2016 the PEOPLE had the final say...stop reading the so-called 'Independent'.....the trouble is with remainiacs is they thought they had it in the bag because they ALL live in areas where NO-ONE was suffering- (instead quite the opposite)- because of the EU single market rules.... -
To quote my house clearance guy- who is also an antiques dealer as he did the probate valuation.....'nothing of commercial value'...but he said there was some stuff worth selling on eBay...tea sets etc, other bric a brac. I am a person of mature years but I hate dust-gathering items so got rid forthwith. What did not sell on eBay went to the charity shop..... Any useful furniture you could try your luck on the East Dulwich Forum..... (btw...I knew several house clearance geezers in the East End back in the day and they were very shady indeed!)

You probably undercharged them and gave them too much change sometimes- but they wouldn't tell you about that!

Well you can carry on imagining because 73% voted Remain in ED- so if you stick around here you'll be fine....(?)

Cars are freedom- for instance, freedom to send your child to whatever school you want Freedom to buy some ostentatious lump of metal as some kind of status symbol... Freedom to drive around like a lunatic and show off to your mates, and pull birds.... Freedom to- have kids, drop them off at school and then get to work yourself...you cannot do that in time if you rely on public transport. Freedom to go where and when you want...I got a car after I turned up at the station on a Sunday with the children to find that the train did not stop at West Humble on a Sunday.... Freedom to go shopping once a week and buy everything I, personally, made sure my kids went to schools that they could walk to...I've seen what goes on on buses in the morning. You cannot give this to people for 50 years and then try and take it all away- especially since without the revenue from fuel the economy would probably collapse

I had a visit from the JWs this week- saying much the same thing....unfortunately we all need to be reminded at every opportunity that there are State funded schools out there that perpetuate this tripe...yes- YOU as a taxpayer are paying for this very tripe to be taught to children- and believe me they grow up to 'hate on gay people' and they spout much the same thing as the above from the OP.... AND there are people who CHOOSE to send their tiny children to be further brainwashed and indoctrinated at these establishments....

I don't understand why these shops have to be open all night anyway...it just encourages people to wander about unnecessarily into the early hours and there are not enough cops around now... -

You would think so but the companies employing sub-contractors trust that they will do the right thing but do not realise what is going on until incidents such as this. The funniest example of this was when it was found that the Home Office had used an agency to provide cleaners for its offices and half of them turned out to be illegal immigrants! https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2006/may/19/immigration.immigrationpolicy

I shall be traffic that 'evaporates' since i will be driving through dulwich village and up Sunray avenue- the only reasons I can think of that has warranted this move by southwark is 1) there is a Labour knob living on that route judging by the house that was festooned at the last elections, or 2) someone from Kings has complained because there is a hall of residence along there- BOTH reasons are a joke imvho

There are a fair number of undesirables who have been attracted to this liberal charitable country of ours...even the Romanian mayor thanked the UK for taking the Romanian criminals- where my sister lives in Essex they are sick of the anti-social behaviour in their neighbourhood alone.

People trying car doors - every night in ED?
uncleglen replied to DovertheRoad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Here is a report mentioning 'keyless' thefts http://www.aftermarket-insurance.co.uk/cars-stolen-for-export-in-the-east-of-england/ I knew about this type of crime from my sister. In her area- not far from Tilbury (dock area) -the car theft is twice the national average -
Appearances can be deceptive https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3702028/High-end-shoplifter-donned-fur-coat-blend-exclusive-surroundings-swiped-valuable-jewellery-Harvey-Nichols-Liberty-Dolce-Gabbana.html I always attracted attention from security staff in dept. stores when I used to shop....I am quite scruffy and do not wear designer clothes! And I've never stolen anything.
