  1. Carry on praying...there are some very fast cyclists belting down crystal palace road in the morning especially.
  2. There are a lot of free-loaders of one type or another in London- they are attracted to London and it is a bit more difficult to be a free-loader under the Tories.
  3. No they don't Blah Blah many get on a plane and come to the UK where they are a drain on the NHS. The availability of interpreters provided is ludicrous, and a drain on the NHS. FYI I have worked in the NHS as well so I have seen the wastage...and I knew people in the council when Mrs T was in power and the levels of corruption was indefensible. The tax-payers' pocket is not a bottomless pit and until the lefties realise this and get a grip then these services will always be used as a political football...Ed Miliband thought he would win on his NHS ticket but truth is he privatised and outsourced much more than Cameron ever did
  4. The problem with the tv depiction of gay people is that the programmes had some really very camp characters verging on the ridiculous for a long time...John Inman, Larry Grayson, Paul O'Grady, Danny la Rue and these people were associated with being gay. Julian Clary was the first 'camp' man to be seen to have an excellent wit and intellect but the damage had been done by the previously mentioned people.
  5. It is interesting when you find public sector workers who are Tory supporters because they are usually in a position at work where they cannot voice their opinions because your average front line NHS or education workers are so lefty it is sick. Can't people see that the left use the front line public services as a political football, withdrawing funding from the front line to create admin jobs in council service sectors etc. and thereby depriving their actual customers of service and giving 'government cutbacks' as an excuse. The hard left has infiltrated public services and the result is nothing short of disastrous for the general public.
  6. Does it matter how hard they campaign? I personally go by the manifesto and previous record. I also think that people vote out of self interest. The well-off in Dulwich Village are untouched by Labour policies and doctors etc. will vote Labour for the sake of the NHS and then send their kids to private schools. Poorer people on estates around Dulwich and West Norwood will vote Labour to preserve their levels of benefits. As a middle-englander I suffer under Labour and therefore do not vote Labour- I voted for James to try to keep Labour out. (Also I firmly believe that all the extreme lefties are now firmly secreted away in the Labour Party after the Militant 'scandal' in the '80s)
  7. I was under the impression only 144,000 were taken up.
  8. Hopefully the loss of labour voters will happen at local level too....
  9. It looks like Sonia in east enders is bisexual....how they know what their real proclivities are when they are always 3 sheets to the wind is beyond me....but at least they used a condom, the wrapper of which got stuck to the social worker's (complete with flowing scarf) bum...
  10. Politics is like catch 22- the fact that someone wants to have power over people means that they have completely the wrong mentality to actually have power over the people....
  11. Newly baked bread Avocados
  12. Morning Morgantown- Joni Mitchell
  13. People will vote out of self-interest or tactically. Those that live in HA homes and are working and want to own their home will vote for this. When Mrs T introduced the Right to Buy council tenants in a position to were very glad to purchase their homes...and all the 'socialists' who already owned their own homes were the first to scream blue murder ( I speak from personal experience). After all- they could then no longer have that feeling and attitude of superiority.
  14. Friend of the Devil- Grateful Dead
  15. No Seabag, unfortunately my dad (her son) would have had me committed!
  16. The US adviser that Miliband has employed making his mark then. I thought that was ironic....'Hell Yes' if Labour get in- my thoughts exactly
  17. You all forgot Shardonnay
  18. I worked in a school where a deputy had just come out of banking. She was a disaster- totally inhumane. Within 2 years about 70% of the staff she line managed resigned
  19. david carnell wrote 'Smug, trendy, sneering liberals who won?t let us talk about immigration? It?s just a rightwing delusion and a lazy substitute for thinking.' I see- you are a sneaky git alright!
  20. Most people left or right are in favour of addressing social inequality but only the well off can afford to live a decent life under the left. Dulwich village is a prime example...Labour posters in doctor's windows and all their kids go to public school- they will not be affected by Labour policies of uncontrolled immigration (they already have their ?1,000,000 houses and second homes) , increasing benefits, higher taxes, positive discrimination in social housing and public sector jobs (although the latter 2 policies are local)
  21. If it is odd that she hasn't texted you then maybe the dark stain is something to do with her demise. What colour is the stain? I would contact her forthwith just to check that she is ok.
  22. I think rahrahrah has nailed his/her colours to the mast. The thought of condemning even more people to a life on some sort of benefits has always counted Labour well and truly out for me(as in every other election I've been eligible to vote in). I'd like to know where all the extreme lefties have gone since the Militant exposure years ago- I expect they learned their lesson back then and have secreted themselves into the Labour enclosure.
  23. He's got some front- on his ?384,000 salary. He's obviously not up to the job...and since he has been in a position to make changes for a long time (appointed by Ken Livingstone) he should be thoroughly ashamed of himself and p*ss off
  24. Doesn't matter how they try to improve the infrastructure- it's obsolete 5 years before it's finished in London
  25. Yes it's ok getting in 'guest speakers' from outside to address that area of the actual LAW but what about the rest of the year. What about the day to day attitude. Normal schools do not need to get in guest speakers.
