  2. secondary is a few years away for us too but yes its good to know it has been rated as outstanding,as its out nearest secondary got a feeling we may be offered this school when our time comes although charter would be my first choice (depending on how the school is doing then).

  6. hi my daughter had her bday party at gambado last year and yes i agree the price is a bit much! she also likes hello kitty so we're having a hello kitty themed party at home this year-next week in fact:)!
  7. my daughter does ballet at the south london dance studios which id recommend!
  8. In the old reception area which the school are not using at the moment there was places were the children could go and not be seen by staff which the teachers were aware of but to my knowledge not much was done about this at the time, another parent told me she came to collect her son early and there was I think one teacher watching both reception classes whilst they played outside but now all children are on the other side I have been told its very open so all teachers are able to see the children.I have been told whilst things have improved education wise the way teachers deal with childrens misbehaviour and bullying could definately improve.
  9. my daughter started bessemer 2010 as we did not get a place in any of our choices(heber, goodrich, dvi and st johns and st clements),id never even heard of the school beforehand but had to send her there as I had no choice and kept her on the waiting lists for others applied for,I decided to take her out of the school at the end of reception due to an incident which I was very unhappy with, she is now at Heber which I am much happier with(and also alot nearer to where we were living at the time)I bumped into a parent the other day of a child who is still at bessemer who told me her daughter is being picked on and was even pushed of an apparatus in the playground I assume so she also wishes to take her child out of the school but I know of some children who are getting on fine there. Either way I wish everyone else a better experience of the school than we had!
  10. I used to live on Ivanhoe road moved around 6 years ago it was bad then for burglary too, both my neighbours were burgled one night my mum distracted him as she heard someone outside the back and opened the window, police were called but they didnt find him.:X
  11. EG so sorry for what you are going through-I know this situation all to well.I have just recently moved from neighbours from hell, over 5 years I reported to local council offices, southwark anti social behaviour unit, police, local mps advice surgery but not much was done,in the end I had no choice but to move. Southwark council are absolutely useless in these types of situations and people are just getting away with causing unacceptable grief towards others.
